Decal Printer Paper?

has anyone used decal printer paper to make your own stickers? is it durable enough to stay on skis and not rip or fade? trying to cover most of the graphic on a pair of skis and dont want to put stuff on there to have it turn into a sticky mess
 
usually the decal paper you buy from your local wal mart or whatever is paper. it is just sticy backed paper. So the ink will not stay when it gets wet and is the biggest bitch to get off.
 
yeah thats kinda what i figured. does anyone know if you can get the glossy sticker material and print onto that? or would a normal inkjet printer not stick to that stuff
