Debit Card + Paypal=success or fail?

Am i able to set up a paypal account with my Visa Debit Card? I want to order some EC stuff but do not have a credit card.
 
yeah, i have a visa like student debit card that i set up the account with, i think if there's money on it it works, i set the account up with my parents card a while back but i don't use theirs anymore so my card works i just dunno if you can make the account with one, just try it and let us know when you fail
 
just checked for you on my account, you can link it to a bank account via the sort code and then transfer money in and out of the account via the paypal webiste, so you can say how much you want out of your bank account into your paypal, if that makes sense
 
I'D ALWAYS use a credit card with your paypal account, because ebay etc are hella sketchy sometimes and paypal loves to protect their end of the money and deal. thats why they love it when you do what they want you to do and link your bank account directly, so they can debit your bank acc directly. people that use credit cards fuck paypal over all the time. which is awesome, because you should technically not have to feel like you hve to answer to anyone. if you get stiffed on something on ebay, you can call your card company and they'll pull that charge so fast cuz its PAYPAL, and EBAY, lols they spend their whole day on the phone. basically, paypal wants you to use debit / bank acc info, thats why they tell you its such a security issue to use credit cards, because people fuck them over all the time. use a credit card.
 
wait, why cant you just put your card number in the credit card field? It will still work even though it's a debit card.
