Debating EP Pros

Title says it. I'm looking for a nice wide ski for next years season. Little bit of important information about myself:
I'm about 5'9", and around 135-140 pounds (yes, I'm skinny, I know), and I ski pretty aggressively.
From my understanding of this thread (https://newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/614890/), I think that the consensus is that despite the length of the ski, it would still work for someone about my height. Does this apply to the EP Pros as well?
TL; DR: 5'9", 135 Lbs, are EP Pros a good pow ski for a person like me?

this depends on what your skiing, if you will be floating throught the deep pow in trees, jibbing/playing, riding switch or sessioning kickers, the ep pro is sick. however if you are going to be charging big lines, hitting big cliffs and straight lining at high speeds, you should look elsewhere for a stiffer ski. the ep is literally a noodle

the eps are a great pow ski, I actually sold my hellbents in order to get some. the early rise is essential. I have benchetlers and eps and bacons. Honestly the eps are the best out of all three because they are so fun and playful. Ive hit up to 30+feet cliffs and they stomed pow. I'm 6 180 and I cant be happier.

+k to both of you, although I feel a little bit more info may be needed. The pow I ski in isn't typically that deep, usually a little less than a foot, and its more mellow than what you described, although I'd attribute the terrain to be smaller cliffs and more tree skiing.

What size Bents did you change from? I am on 189 Bents now, and going to hit the demos hard next year to try and find something lighter and more fun, but still float well. Eps are one option.

i went 179 hellbent to a 185 ep.....(keep in mind I also have 2010/2011 atomic benchetlers and I ride the EP way more) I'm a average skier at jackson (there are people that are absolutely crush it out here), and believe me the EP has been the most playful and fun ski I have been on. I have the white ones with the black trees.

if you like to schmear, slash, butter, 180, stomp 20-30 foot cliffs, ride pow, make pillow lines turn into Super Mario Land....and ski pow switch the ep pro is perfect.

I'm giving the Benchetlers to my brother who is 6'2 195-200 because I know he will enjoy them more.

I want a pair of the 10'11 blends or bacons to replace my 07/08 bacons.

I have the EP Pro (10/11) and the Bent Chetler. I'm the exacty same size/weight as the OP and I love them. The 10/11 is a more versatile ski than older iterations, it's stiffer and has a bit of camber while still being tons of fun. I take them out even when there is no fresh because they are just so fun to ski on. For what you described (mellow not to deep pow) I'd think the EPs are one of the most fun skis out there. Soft, playful and easy to throw around in trees. Theres a lot of hate on them being too soft, but I don't have any problems with the 10/11, with older versions I did find them too soft on occasion.
I might be selling my Bent Chetlers or using them for touring, because I doubt I'll use them in resort/bootpacking now I have the EPs.

i'm 6ft and 165lbs (185cm 75kg)and i have ep pros, 2010 modeli love them everywhere, except on boilerplate ice and hard crud...
imho my weight/height is about the limit, if you're bigger the skis probably gonna be a bit too soft...for your height/weight i think the ski is gonna be just fine!
it's still gonna be super soft, but you'll manage :)
oh, and charging, especially in heavier pow or chopped pow is also a bad idea :)
for my height/weight i also found the ski quite tricky on bigger drops, if you don't land perfectly on point and on a steep landing i would cartwheel or washout on the tails quite often .... probably because i have a tendency to lean mad forward
in short, really fun ski to toy around with, only for fast charging/big hucks they might be a bit too soft ...

I'm about the same height as you and i own a pair of ep pro 2010s. they're perfect for staying on top of the super deep stuff and riding switch in it too. they're really flexy so they aren't the best thing for straight lining huge faces. that being said the flex makes it a sick ski to butter around through the pow. hitting backcountry jumps with them is awesome because with their near symetrical build you can throw down the tricks where you come out switch much more easily than the conventional backcountry ski will allow you to. I broke my pair of park skis this year and even had fun riding the ep pros in the park while i saved up for a new pair

Thanks for all the input guys! Yes, I would be getting this years because of the aforementioned stiffness boost to the ski. Think I'm going to head down to the local shop and talk to those guys about it but I've got my heart set on these. +k to all for your input.
