I have a debate in school on the legiliztion of weed, so to give me some ideas i thought id start one here.... So what do u guyz think good idea/bad idea, why?

And I know there was already a form like this but im to lazy to go looking thro the last 10pages of post to find it.

its bad because the government can't make money off of it, private growers and sells don't pay taxes. It's a good idea to legalize it because it opens up the door for other drugs, i yearn for the day heroin is legal.

ok, i have had serious talks about this with my uncle, who just got out of the navy, and has seen first hand the results of leaglized marajuna.

If it was legalized, the best way for the government to handle it is to control it. There would be a small tax, like 10% of every sale that goes to the government to help them fund the distribution, and to help control other drug trafficing. Legal age would be needed in the US, and would most likly be set at 21, not 18, because of the liability reasons. The price of weed doesnt have to change, so the dealers and growers would not get angry over the government's intervention. The people that would be upset, are the dealers and drug lords that control many other drugs, other than weed. In summary, the weed iindustry and the relationship to the government would become similar to the relationship the tobacco industry has. They are free individual companies, with goverment filtration and observation.

the only down side to legalization would be that there wouldn't be any really really good nugz like there are now, if the government controlled it, it would probably be seedless schwag

no i think quality would stay high. I remember reading a libertarian party thing talking about legalization and they said prices would go down. Maybe if you already live someplace where it is cheap it wouldnt but its $400 an ounce here.

yea that is most expensive stuff. You can find mids for cheaper but like really good nugs are $50 an 1/8. And the times when white widow or some other really good shit people pay like $60 uf you buy a buch if it $50 an 1/8. Then if you drive the 1 and a half to madison we can get it for cheaper but that is only when it is like northern lights or trinity or somethign worth the drive. Arent you in Ontario?

Yah I live in BC... I can get 130$ canadaina goose dollars for an ounce of AAA. ITs some good dank. If I want Helss Angels dank its like 160$.. buts its harder to find the HA chronic. 25$ for an eight is a little cheap.. but still easy to find.

out here in vail it is fucking stupid how much weed costs. $50 an 1/8 for some fairly good shit and for mad nuggets of like blueberry or white ryhno, that shit isnt sold in 1/8s. a quarter is the minimum you can get. an ounce of that shit goes for around $450.

around here it's normally $35 1/8 for middies, when the nugz are around it's about $50

Weed is one of the most controversial subjects ever incountered by the US goverment and many others. If you look back in history at some points in American history people though that some day we may run out of trees. Therfore they sent a couple people out to do research. These people then found out there was a special crop. A super crop. This crop could be used to make cloathing, paper, desks, beds, lamps, and even houses. What was it called...Marijuana. Now when the early americans who ran this country realized this they began to get scared. Why, because most of the goverment officals who have run our country in the past owned and opperrated alot of the lumber jacks and there countries. They then decided the only way to not lose all of their money the would have to some how banish it from the country. Once they realized that if it was smoked it would get you 'high' this then gave them the reason to make it illegal. That's why it is illegal.

Next the pricing for weed is very much like snowflakes. It is never the same price all around the country. From the places I've gone too, and my home town I have realized one thing. The closer it is grown to you the cheaper it is. Most people in my city pay 300 an 1/1, 100 a 1/4, 50 1/8 and for shawag 45-100 an ounce (prices on shawag very a whole lot). I get mine for like 100-175 an once of nice KB. Why because I know the grower. This is why peop-le who live in Vancouver will tell people who live in some weird city where there is not alot of weed that there getting ripped off for 450. So don't think you need better dealers you just need a better location.

the other thing about legalization that is important is that it wouldnt lead to other drugs. I know everyone here taht is pro weed says it isnt a gateway drug but through weed I know dealers and stuff now and that is the only reason i have tried other stuff. If someone tried to tell me that i was going to have tried a bunch of other drugs before I started smoking i wouldnt believe them but now it isnt wierd doing anything. Jibs is that CAN money or USA money taht is expensive as hell.

gram is 10, a quarter here is $70, a ounce is like $200, it would be hard for the government to legalize it because there is no was for them to regulate it, like theres no way to tell if someone is stonned cos they can use procautions like visine etc. as soon as they can find a way to regulate it there will be weed cafe's popping up everywhere

for the main reason of how much money the government spends of drug contoll of weed a year its amazing how bad they suck...they should be spending money on fighting weed they should be making money off it

you guys should come to britain where it is much cheaper!!!!!!! also it is class c now so if the police catch they can only caution you and take what ever you have away from you!!!!! It is sooo common over here that it might be legalised in a couple of years if the campainers are lucky.
