wut happend to the guy sliding the 40 foota today? he must of gotten messed up cus they had signs up at skyline that said that u shood report to the hospital place if u saw wut happend??

 
All i know is he caught an edge on the middle of the rail and hit his head hard. May our thoughts be with him and hope for the best.

I'm pretty sure he had a helmet on. Watch out for that catch in the middle of the forty where the two pieces are put together!

 
Yeah it was my cousin, i was skiing with him, he was completely unconcious for a couple days, but hes making tons, but slow improvement, today he got up and walked down the hallway at harborview with a little assistance. He waved and smiled in the mirror. his eyes are focusing again. They are moving him to Childrens Hospital on Friday. THey think he'll have about 6 months of Occupational therapy. The scary thing about the fall is that it didn't look that bad, but the doctors said if he hadn't been wearing a helmet they don't know if he would have lived. But it is all part of the sport. So I'll see ya'll back up at stevens this weekend i hope!

so he had a helmet? he must have hit so hard. but the way he siezed out sounds like that wouldn't happen to most people. is he epileptic? because if the average person was vulnurable to hitting a helmeted head on a rail and falling into a coma, there would be all sorts of 20/20 reports on kids dying while skiing and how unsafe it is and shit like that.

 
anyone can get hurt wearin a helmet.i got a concussin with mine on. it just depends on how it hits.

yeah my friend went up on the 40 and just got on wrong and hit his head on the rail, his helmet is almost cracked in two now, it was gnarly
