Has anyone watched any of the documentaries on waco, like rules of engagement and others? I found it really interesting.

This isn't going to happen. Im one of the handful of kids in my "group" of friends that doesn't go to church, and i asked them all today if they heard about what was supposed to happen saturday. And every single one of them said it was complete bull shit. Nothing is gonna happen saturday, absolutely nothing. I can't wait to see the OP's post on sunday. haha

The central problem with the argument is that it is based on the book of genesis being historical truth, which it's not. I take a theology class at school and the book of genesis was a way for the Jewish tribes to explain something that they couldn't comprehend, i.e why is everything here? We now know more about physics, the universe etc to make much of the writing in the old testament null in terms of history. So basing his calculations on this makes his argument bullshit.
Also that quote from Mark's gospel: some biblical fundamentalist he is. Also Biblical fundamentalism makes you an idiot, there's good stuff in the bible, just take it with a grain of salt, as most of it was written for a purpose, not as an exact recount of history

sry to break it to all christians, but "jesus" is over due a few hundreds of years. if you read the bible (interestingly enough, hardcore christians dont even do it, at least not by themselves) the second coming of christ was meant to happen so that his followers would be most like to be still living. that means NOTHING after 100 AD. so hes a little late, but please think that he is coming. seriously if youre that hardcore that you live everyday because "he" could come tomorrow i forget all my tolerance, this is seriously dumb as fuck and i cant believe that people are putting up billboards in the US, the epitome of a western country. i am so sad for our whole world right now.
 
where does it say this in the bible?? anyway these "christians" that are proclaiming the end of the world are wrong. The bible itself says that God will come again like a "thief in the night" and that no one knows or will know when he is coming apart from himself. They have found nothing in the bible that actually says this. the evidence used is a verse that says 1 day for god is like 1000 years, notice the LIKE, the bible is here just accentuating the fact that God does not live in the same way we do, time is nothing for him because he has been there for infinity. these people should really read revelation
