"dear tourist" hails from Silverthorne... can't imagine it's THAT bad there. The only people that really go there are pretty serious riders.

that being said. I wan't all tourists in Mammoth to leave. 20k people and 500acres does not work well.
 
dear locals, if we did not come to your town, you would all be broke and not be able to afford skiing. deal with us for a couple of weeks a year and stop bitching all the time like we are the devil. i hate tourists too, but its all a part of skiing.
 
I am grateful to the tourist dollars. Living in a resort community and owning a business in a resort community I am all very aware of our dependence on visitors. I also really do appreciate my face to face interactions with visitors and am happy to answer any of their questions to educate them about our community.

What I do not appreciate is being almost T-Boned on a weekly basis in my car because of their being distracted with all the hub-bub of visiting that they can't follow rules of the road.

Dear Tourist is a way for those who live in any community to express various frustrations that occur when people visit their towns before actually taking it out on them.
 
Dear tourists....just because we defeated the British in my thrown does not mean you have to take multiple cars to the battlefields, clog up the road and thus prevent me from being able to make it home from the beach
 
Well then you understand my point as well. But if you need to bitch about people anyway then by all means. Happy New Year.
