i think its good to use slow mo as long as it is a resonable speed so u can see it a lil better. but its not good if its wicked slow

haha, have whole segments be one clip with the whole song as the length of it. i think we've gone to a whole new level of filming. this is progression right here. u know what'd be interesting, if a whole saeg was just one huge line down a mtn, with lots of jumps and rails close together, and then in the middle of the run, u stop and have a sandwich with ur bids, and keep going to the end

the only reason msp flicks are 2 hours long is the slow mo, they prob have about 15 mins of unedited footy they use for a whole movie.

yeah, I've been thinking about trying something... mave a sick trick slowed down a lot, but spaced out during that clip are other tricks, so that when the first clip is ovet the whole vid is over. CRAZY!

has anybody ever seen the chapelle show with the skit about how (almost)everything is better in slo-mo? It's funny and slightly relevant to this topic...

But I don't really mind it, except when they use a format that is interlaced and then they use a filter to deinterlace and then when the slow the speed down the filter turns off and it's hard to watch. I just saw a movie that was like that and me and my friend both got headaches because it was all fucked up...

Level 1 doesnt use much slowmo, poorboyz doesnt really, i dont..MSP and TGR slow down all their stuff way too much...makes me wanna sleep

or PBP's slowmo Cork 360 with tanner..?

I like slowmo in some places.. but its risky.. it can totally ruin something, but it can also be totally sick.

I agree with Airic, that was a sick shot with Tanner's scratches bouncing. But in general MSP does tend to use a lot of slow-mo. Sometimes they have the shots to back it up, but sometimes it just feels like your watching a snail move for no reason, like there is no purpose behind putting the shot in the movie.

only the SIKEST TRIX should be slow mo. and i hate it when only like 1 clip in a segment is in black and white, thats so crappy. either make it all black and white, or not at all.

slow-mo really irritates me sometimes. The trick seems to drag on for ages and u just wanna see it normally. but slow-mo can be epic aswell (e.g the shot in the yearbook trailer from the helicopter when tanner is like floating)

dude, worse than slo mo is the excuses you hear for it. my favorite is 'it goes with the music dude. imagine that shit in real time, it'd be gay!!!' GET A NEW SONG! my dad likes msp and tgr a lot, he's a fucking douche, and NEEDS the slow motion to understand what is going on. I came home today and he was watching rfa, in slow motion, the whole thing.

I think only the most stylish things deserve slow motion.. not technical at all.. and you gotta do it right cus some tricks only look good in regular motion like butters, slides and stalls. Other then that slow motion has its places but some movies have ruined parts with ultra-slowmotion.

yeah, slowmo has its disadvantages deff (i.e.- evan raps 360 in skimovie 3) crappy trick. but i like when its slowed down just enough so you dont really know its slowed down, but if you watch the raw footage the trick consitutes as a 'flippy spiiny thing' that i have no porblem with.

and the black and white thing isnt cool

high-life did it right by making the beginning of each segment black and white old film

but whole movies and segments suck in black and white, just takes the personality out of the editing
