DEAR PARK CITY (so Willem doesn't have to)

Please don't close off the park for some photog to take pictures of 8 year olds on flat box.

how about you just DO YOUR JOBS!!! I was riding jonesys all afternoon the other day and did not see a park crew guy once. a certain mr. jackson took matters into his own hands and took a rake and raked all of the lips. he then stuck the rake in the ground at the end of the park and it didn't move until 3 hours later. that shows just how often you guys go through the park. it seems like when you guys first set up a feature it is sweet, and then you just forget about it and don't rake takeoffs, maintain landings, or dig features out when it snows. there is so much potential at PC, and yet you guys insist on being lazy and not maintaining anything. also, whatever happened to a good old fashioned flat RAIL that is set up propererly? it seems like almost everything is either a box that is buried in the ground, some stupid ass setup that is meant to be "creative" or a good rail that is set up like poop, a.k.a. the round barrel flat down in jonesys. that was the sickest rail when it was set up properly last year and this entire year it has just been a waste of a feature.

as you can tell i'm a little bit frustrated. i don't feel like i'm asking for anything unreasonable, please just do your jobs!!!

The mid section of Jonsey's was only closed for about 1/2 hr. We've all hit that rail line a thousand times. I didn't think it was a big deal at all. I'm just stoked they put that step-up in Jonseys. I give them props for that. King's could definitely be raked, but it was pretty sick today.... except the lip to the cannon box definitely needed some work. Overall it was a sick day at PC.

i'm going to be pissed if i blow my knee trying to spin off jumps with a foot of slush on the lips

took that shit to flat! wooo and the middle of the park was closed for way more than a half hour....kids were just standing on shit...rediculous

that step up is honestly one of the most terribly built jumps i have ever hit. flattest take off with the steepest landing... sounds nice

honestly, we were watching footy yesterday and some snowboarder sent it, landed on the flat knuckle spot, then boosted over the landing and he literally got more air boosting over the landing than he did off the lip.

umm whoever is saying good things about that step up are cleary out of their minds, I was straight lining it from the flat-down barrel and still slapping the deck with my tails, PC should build a good table not an experimental step up with no lip and puts you 2 feet in the air at 40 miles an hour, to clear 25 feet its like a brighton jump

The step up is the worst excuse for a late season feature I have ever seen. 1. mobbing into a jump that size is near impossible in warm/slow snow 2. throwing anything over that would look terrible from any angle. and 3 you deleted the best jump in jonesys to create this thing...At least rake kings so we have something to get airborn off of...

Ok. I went up today and I have decided to take back my previous statement. I had a lot of fun on it yesterday. I felt the speed was pretty consistent. I wasn't having any trouble taking it to the sweet spot. Today however was a completely different story. The jump was horrible. Speed was super inconsistent, and the lip either put you into the knuckle or way past it. Definitely not stoked at all.

redid taht step up jump in joneseyes and the thing was sooo much fun today...and park crew raked/salted that shit so it was money

park crew slayed today, pretty much awesome.

the fucked up thing is i heard so many kids yelling at the park crew about how it was taking them too long to rake features, heard it multiple times. if you were one of those kids, go fuck off, the park crew is actually getting down trying to keep the parks real nice in this time of slush, so let them do their jobs.

they may have slayed joneseys, but joneseys is busted anyway. seriously, brighton has better jumps. and they didn't make an appearance in Kings all day. there was a 6 inch rut onto the cannon box, a foot of slush on all the lips, etc. i stopped and slipped/stepped shit out a few times to make it semi-hittable, but if someone with a rake would just spend 20 minutes...i would have eaten shit about 6 less times today. but it is fucked if kids are getting mad at them for fixing things.

did you shred joneseys at all today?? have you been to brighton?? If the answer to both of those is yes then you are on crack.

The new step over is bomb, super floaty and a nice steep/long landing and the smaller side is also real nice.

This morning it was horriblely wutangish. Then in the afternoon it softened up and the lip got super good. Such a fun jump! Yay

They slayed Kings today! They were raking it continuously, and it was on point the whole time...and I said something like, "You guys are killing it today, it's so much better!" to one of the park crew guys, and he was like, "IT WAS YOU!" My bad...

Moral of the story: NS hate = the solution to all problems

i dare park city to keep the step over how it was monday, and change up the rails in jonseys! give us something new to ski for closing weekend, where the rails have been the same for the entire season, except for the one change that was made with the downrail/rainbow box

and if thats too much to ask, then just keep up the solid raking/salting job you guys were doing on monday. shit was bangerr

holy shit are you all seriously bitching this much? its skiing.... go shred the shit out of anything you can and be glad your not serving a 9-5!

well when it's 50 degrees+ outside and nothing gets raked in a park, i'd say that's grounds for bitching. although there is none now so it really doesn't matter at all.

I think the word for this is "input." Which is something park city (and any other park crew) needs and should appreciate as long as it's friendly.

and the park crew has been holdin it down lately with the exception of rail variety.

rails have potential to be fun but are way close together. especially the double barrel rail almost in the landing of the second jump. it just seems like the park crew just threw shit in.

The new set up is doope, its got kind of a skate park feel to it, the jibs are tight but thats because i heard they are settin them up for a torstein to film a top to bottom park run like at northstar last year. lame to repeat i think, but kings is way fun now...should be a fun last weeknd in pc...

Is the stepover in Joneseys not decent sized anymore? Fuck I really want to hit a baller stepover or something thats smooth and big.
