On September 10th, I'm going to be throwing out the first pitch of the Indians vs. Twins game. I'm pretty stoked. It's also on my birthday which makes it extra cool. Just thought I'd share.
 
Haha I might wear an NS shirt I'm not sure yet. But sometime after the game I'll bump this with pics and a vid or something.
 
My aunt works in some place where they had a drawing for who would win it and is letting me do it since I'm more of a baseball fan and all plus its my birthday. I'm pretty excited
 
Sucks that the Indians are gonna lose on your birthday.
Unless you're a Twins fan like myself. Then double happy birthday.
 
doubt you'll be allowed to wear an ns shirt. they tend to be pretty strict about such things. if you won it through a company or tv channel, they'll probably have you wear either their logo, or the home team's jersey.

and now that i think of it, ceremonial first pitches are never televised.

still badass that you get to do it though.
 
that is so so so sick. if you dont have a good arm practice that shit! im so sick of seeing weak opening pitches. i wanna see you send a laser in there
 
it's gotta be something new no one has seen on the internet. like throw it at someones kneecap or something rediculous
 
yea, do something nobodies ever done before, like get the ball into the glove withou letting it hit the ground
 
because it occurs 20 minutes before the game even begins, and is usually some no name person doing it. Opening day, playoffs and world series are the only important ones that might be shown. They don't interrupt pre game shows so the world can see tom, from tom's deli down by 5th street throw out the first pitch because he won a contest.

 
there's gotta be a camera. out of all the people in the stadium, someones gonna have a camera, even if it's not televised. if you really want to get it filmed, get a friend to do it

true, but some terrible phone video from the stands won't do. The stadium always has their own camera present just to put it up on the big screen, but i'm not sure what becomes of those tapes. you can probably get a copy fairly easily though.

i'll warn you though, ceremonial first pitchers usually aren't given much space. They usually have pretty strict rules, and someone from the team walks you to the mound and back in.

definitely already an awesome once in a lifetime experience though. don't ruin it trying to impress a bunch of teenagers on a website

even if they make you wear a different shirt, try and wear a tall tee under it
 
as soon as you get the ball run around the mound a bunch of times then do a hand stand to front bridge type deal then take your shirt off beat your chest and throw the ball
 
pretend youre gonna pitch, like start the windup, then turn around whip the ball into center field, then just start fapping all over the mound while flipping off everyone
 
if you've got the arm you should throw the ball into the stands or at one of the dugouts. make sure everybody's paying attention.
 
haha I was thinking about just throwing it as far back as I could into the stands beyond the backstop. but i figured the people on the field wouldn't appreciate that too much
