Dear NS, I need your thoughts on my thoughts.

SO, I have to write a classification paper for English and I immediately thought of skiing, obviously. Now, I have a few options as to where I can go with this:
1. Classify skiing in the sense of style--BC, Park, Racing, etc. and talk about it in a technical sense.. outerwear differences, equipment differences, preferred weather/snow conditions, etc2. Classify skiing in the sense of the people who do it. Two main concepts: those who ski out of want, and those who ski out of need. The whole, hobby v. lifestyle deal. And then within that talk about (on the hobby side) your gapers, weekend warriors, and rich people who do it (with the most pristine setup) JUST because they can. And of course, on the other side, your park skiers, bc guys, (and those inbetween) and racers..I guess. (I'm not too sure where I want to place racers. It can really go either way.) In this I would really talk about their general attitudes and.."look".
The second option would have to be more of a satirical paper.
Thoughts?I don't care if you hate on my ideas but if you do..at least give me a suggestion? Thanks guys!

number 1 - waaay easier. Lots of solid information. Talk about the types of gear that are associated with each type of skiing from head to toe. BC - fat skis, stiffer boots, down jacket, powder gloves, avi gear, etc. Should be fun picking out your dream gear for each situation. talk about BC, racing, park, and hell even give a set up for the weekend vacationer.

Haha yeah, now that I wrote all that I'm definitely thinking 1..she's only letting us make it 4 pages (she stops reading once it hits 5..) and I feel like I could talk about 2 for ten pages, easily. I was a little worried about making it interesting but really, I know what I'm talking about. I can make it interesting.Thaanks man, +k
