Dear newschoolers

keep roller blading out of skiing. skiing has been around for decades whereas roller blading was one bad idea that took people a while to notice how lame and gay looking it was. thankfully now that fruit boarding is dead, we can let skiing move past this pathetic speed bump they tried calling a "sport". roller blading is as much related to skiing as scootering is to biking. one is a toy for kids to use because its easy and kids love looking like jackasses and the other is for people who don't want to look like they got caught with a man in their ass.

yobeat is the only place more spiteful and negative than newschoolers. and that's really saying something

i'm guessing you still fruit n' boots making you under the legal drinking age. i don't blame you for wanting to invest all that wasted time into something but it sucks you were tricked into something so useless and easy.

yea this guy completely changed my opinion about blading. Also, in that first video in the beginning, someones playing star wars battlefront

Dude did you even see the videos of montre? Im all for skiing, but some of that shit was better than most of the urban ive seen in ski edits. Let people enjoy whatever sport they want, does it make you feel high and mighty by bashing on a sport that shares so much with skiing?

Rollerblading got dumped from the xgames because it was on TV at 8 am on a sunday. No wonder it didn't get any views.
Also they only reason people don't think its cool is because people work to keep it uncool. Just like skiing and snowboarding, if skiing becomes the "cool" thing to do little jimmy from dallas texas will be going and getting skis instead of a snowboard and big companys like Burton will lose money. So really its kinda a marketing trick.

because of two things, 1. it's a lot easier to get speed and be maneuverable on blades in urban environments because they don't need SNOW.

2. skis don't have notches on the bases so you can lock onto rails.

no? if something is cool, it will take off no matter how many "marketing tricks" someone does. if you knew anything about the current condition of skiing then you'd know that twin tip sales are growing insanely while snowboarding has plateaued in sales. the reason blading died out was because it was too easy and looked horrible. you might as well make a case for snowblading while you're at it.

Common misconception, it is actually easier to lock onto rails with skis because you have a 170-180cm platform to land on the rail with. Whereas in rollerblading you have an inch wide soulplate or frame to work with. And it doesn't really lock you in so much as it's just the part you grind with.

i'd suggest seeking out his segment in stay gold. actually, watch the whole damn movie.

no matter how big they go, or how many dicks they can fit in their mouths at once, roller bladers will never be as impressive as that single edit.
