i dunno i generally hate bush as muchh as anyone else on the site but he has a point about social security once the late baby boomers go though the system it will probably be broke. also teh us has a wackload of coal inside their borders which means that they wont have to rely on the middle east as much for oil cause that area is "unstable".

but there are infinite more source of energy (IE renewable energy) that are far less polluting and devasting to teh enviroment (coal mining is NOT a clean thing). If Bush and his admin cared about the future more then they do pleasing large companies they'd put money into research in these areas. It really sickens me to see this happening.

First off, its the large companies (ie. General Motors, Ford, Daimler Chrysler) who are putting large amounts of money and research into developing hydrogen powered vehicles. Second technology is not advanced enough to make fuel sources such as hydrogen viable. The current method of hydrogen production involves burning fossil fuels, and follows the equation CH4 (g) + H2O + e > 3H2(g) + CO(g). The CO is carbon monoxide which is a pollutant hydrogen is supposed to eliminate. It's gonna be a long time before these infinate fuel sources become economical to use, until then, we need coal and oil.

all we need is water... what happend to that guy that made the car run off simple H2O? oh yeah he was assisinated by the government because then they woudnt be making trillions off americans for oil.

ok. coal is not at all necessary, nor acceptable to use in this day and age if you are anything other than an LDC. it is horrendously bad for the environment, and quite inefficient. any alternative source of energy is a better one. the fact that bush would decide to rely heavily on coal is leaving me quite baffled right now.

secondly, as much as these companies are putting into the development of hydrogen powered vehicles, etc, it is NOT going to materialize for a very long time; specifically until oil either runs low or becomes far too costly to use. everybody makes far too many gains, politically, financially, and economically, due to the oil industry, and for this reason, alternative fuels will be decades and decades away.

They can make vehicles run off H2 now too, but my point is it's inefficient and burns fossil fuels anyways. Further technology needs developing and until then coal and oil are our future.

I've never heard about the guy that made that car being assassinated by the government.

Yeah, everyone accepts that as truth. It's his approach to fixing it that is the problem. His plan will actually reduce benefits, for most people, by 40%, according to NBC's Tim Russert.

Privatizing health care is another way for President Bush to concentrate wealth in the upper echelons of American society. Just like his No Child Left Behind Act, it doesn't fix the problem. I'm not advocating socialist-style health care, but this approach, like everything else regarding his presidency, is highly controversial.

With the trend towards diesels lately, I think bio-diesel will become a viable source of fuel. It is deprived from vegetable and animal fats, is equivalent to diesel in regards to vehicle effeciency, and produces significantly less emmisions than mineral based diesel.

^so would your mom be able to run her car off her fat ass. hahahaha jk i had to do it

anyways, i think this is on a different speech he gave a few days ago, but bush starts off by stating that we need to eliminate our dependance on fossil fuels, but then follows it up a few minutes later with "we need to focus on coal energy"

wtf is going through his head. i realize that he's just giving a speech that someone else wrote, but you think he would have enough sense to question it.

well, i've gotta go drive to school now on my new coal-powered ford ranger. lata

Haha, the most powerful country in the U.S. Well, I'm a republican, but I think that Bush has been stupid recently. First his idea to open up the border to millions of Mexicans, and now this. Why don't we put all of our funding for oil into hydrogen research and end the problem with the middle east for good?

To love the times we have
To like what makes us sad
To live when others die
To lose and say goodbye
To last until our moment comes

I think that's first time I've heard a self proclaimed Republican use that line of logic. I'm impressed.

bush is not my president. the fucker. i dont have a tv, so i didnt see it. was it a press confrence? state of the seperation? a link to a site with vid would be appreciated. when bush makes america collapse, i am refugeeing in canada

we have the power to change the evil in the world. stand up and fight the obstacles between reality and your dreams. we can make a difference. all we need to do is stand together, and like a tidal wave splinters a dike, we will destroy what stands in our way

bush is an oil man. he is just saying that because he isn't going to be president forever. he is going to go back to his company after his term is up, and be rich again.

Yea i heard something like were in so much debt because of the bush admin that we are gonna be in debt til like 2060 or something

It wasn't like Bush got the US into debt, he may have added to it. Canada and the US both have a deficit and they will continue to borrow and spend. But as of a couple weeks ago Alberta is officially debt free.

and you think Kerry, or even Gore would have been better?

I think the fact that so many people are concerned with missing the "OC" shows how George Bush got elected in the first place. I don't like W either but we should listen we he talks. It's important to all of our lives. If you don't like what going on get off the couch and do something about it. It's easy to bitch about politics while sitting in front of the TV it's much harder to actually do something about it but it's not impossible.

so i was off by 6 trillion, whatever.
