Breck has gotten 4 feet this week with another 10 inches coming today. We've already smashed our season average.

(I love Utah too... just thought I'd brag to all my UT homies who got rain. If ya'll wanna use your pow skis this season you can crash on my couch. ;-] )

In CA about a month ago we got nine feet of snow in five days. A few days later we got six more feet. We are at 25 feet right now and almost at the seasonal average. Last season we received 11 feet in six days.

Haha yeah, no doubt you guys get way more snow... a lot of places do. Breck is just killin it right now and I had to get some friends for a little CO/UT rivalry. We have 16-20 feet this season as of now. So not too far behind you! ;-)
 
ali g you must not have gotten the memo. it snowed again in utah (mainly the cottonwoods) and we have been skiing powder. so if you ever want a mountain you can ski on when it snows 20 + inches hit me up you can crash on my couch.
 
I have some insane pictures of LCC from this winter that show road signs being just as covered in snow. and this was during xmas break
 
True. Should have said Summit County & surrounding areas. Vail, Copper, ABay, Key, Breck, Beaver Creek.

PC doesn't have shit on ABay, Vail or Copper.
 
haha i saw this on fbook. I was going to post about how Alta has way more snow then Brek. But they are 15in behind. 4 feet of snow is awesome, but my Mtn in NH has gotten like 26in in the past 7 days :)
 
4 feet over a week span? We got 4 feet in a matter of 42 hours. 4 feet is an over night occurence and 10 inches is just a small storm here.

You guys are having one of the best seasons in Colorado history. Utah is having a fairly marginal season and our snow totals are still way above yours. Tell me exactly what I should be jealous of?

For real though, that is sick as hell. I love to ski Colorado, but god I hate the crowds and god I hate the traffic.
 
Hahaha dude, don't let this get to you. I'm more concentrating on Park City where all my friends ski. I'm just giving them a hard time because we have a friendly CO/UT rivalry that THEY started and always bug me with and Breck currently has more snow than Park City.

I love Utah as much as I love CO. =p
 
Just curious why your home mountain says PC? Haha. But Yeah, in all honesty I think PC is worse. At least CO's season is super long and starts super early with riding AND parks. PC JUST got their pipe and big line up. I live here for the halfpipes @ Breck and Copper otherwise I'd be an Alta girl ALLL THEE WAYYYY!
 
P.S.

Sounds like you have a little pent up anger towards Colorado and Park City. Loosen up dude! We're all blessed to live in the West. =] This is a fun thread. Not meant to be so serious!
 
ha colorado sucks, i have been here since november, one big storm and the co locals are all high pride. colorado keep your one storm and all the yuppies that come with it
 
Where do you live? Because I just skied a 13inch powder day at my home mountain.

And this thread is so dumb. Who cares if Utah normally get's more snow? I've skied a lot of places and I'm still to find a place that has as good snow as Steamboat. And man I would take quality over quantity any day. I just don't understand why there's so much hate. CO and UT are neighbors! We should be be stoked for each other instead of hating.

if i hadn't bought this epic pass i would literally be skiing powder everyday at my home mountain, i am from idaho that is all i will tell, i don't want my mountain infested with east coast yupps, short story tho. before my friend came down here he skis a 15 in day then a 20 in day last night there they received another 15". they have been skiing powder every stinking day, and i bought the epic pass thinking colorado would be awesome, the locals mostly suck, the ones i met, and the snow fall in 1" increments
 
Well I know that here in Steamboat, that's not the case at all. We have had 3 quality snow storms this week alone and it has been incredible. The locals here are amazing. It's just a shock when you go other places because you don't have the same home town hospitality.

I'm also going to assume you live some where in Denver and hitting the mountains around I-70. Every mountain is different, which means locals are going to be different at each mountain. If you look at Aspen, many locals can be straight up snobs. While, if you look at more of the working class in Aspen, they're really chill and nice. My uncle lives the bachelor life there, so I've witnessed this first hand. If you go to Loveland, I've found the locals to be really chill.

It all depends on where you go I guess. I love CO and don't see my self leaving anytime soon.

 
true and you yourself seem very chill, the working class in breck aren't my fav, some are cool tho, i am living in my van around summit and eagle, not all suck just a few. just funny how colorado people think this is outdoors, most wouldn't like idaho there isn't cell service
 
Dude all around +K and well said. I honestly think the kid above you is seriously unhappy with his life and is surrounding himself with the wrong people.

Quite sad really. Has no idea how blessed we all are.

We've been getting dumps all week in Breck... even as we speak it's white out. I don't know how anyone can say we're not getting powder. We're tied with UT resorts right now. Dude has a massive stick up his ass.

Well i say this because I'm not going out to Colorado this year (i hate living east coast). And i want to kill a baby kitten and feed it to a dead baby. That is all.
 
dude i am happy as fuck, i am having fun in colorado. but you guys think this is the best place on earth, leave colorado and open your eyes
 
Have you not read any of my posts? This thread is a complete joke to get back at my friends in PC who always give me a hard time about Colorado sucking because for ONCE we have more snow than parts in Utah. It's Utah people who always get so offended and hate Colorado so much.

I'm from Alberta, Canada. I've also lived in Montana, Wisconsin, and spend a lot of time in Park City. Believe me, I've been all over North America riding.

I love Utah, the PNW, MT, Alberta, all over. My heart is no where in particular. Good LORD people need to CHILL THE EFF OUT!

 
i am chill dude, you said i was unhappy just clearing things up. but i am def not coming back to CO, i will def return to UT, ID, and MT. and i plan on touring the west to broaden my horizons as well
