so ya...my dad just went off on me about spending so much time thinking about skiing and going on ns...and filming urban...and traveling and shit....hes like your not a pro you know....your only 16....this isnt your life.....and i told him to fuck off.....this probably wasnt the best thing to do...do your parents give you guys shit about this kind of stuff too?

My parents are bitches too. My dad will let me do anything I want, as long as I'm making money while doing it, which blows... because I'm no pro either. Yeah, my mom gives me all that shit too saying things like 'You need to get over this whole skiing thing, you and your friends are out there every weekend building a jump or messing up your new skis on a rail. There are more important things in life, like school, and I want you to know that when the season starts, if you have bad grades, then you don't get to travel for comps or even ski for that matter.' And other things like that. It really pisses me off, but whatever, im out of the house in 2 years, and so i guess I can live with it for that long.

i dont do urban and stuff because we get like a foot of snow yearly, but they dont care if im in the park. once i fell on my stomach trying a switch 3 that they apparently changed since i last hit it, but i didnt know, and they were watching and laughed at me when i fell so they dont really care

 
i know i cant wait to go to boarding school where we ski 6 days a week at waterville, which has a dope park, and i can finnaly get away from the parents

my parents say i sopend way to much time training then working on school, its hard cause i guess i really never got a proper education in Highschool because i was always traveling and skiing, when you ski 150+ a season its hard to fit class in. Now that im going to Uni its tough to concenrate and work on school, when you spend 2 1/2 hours training everyday and not finish school untill 5 or 6 its hard to fit homework in without not sleeping. My parents are pretty divided they are happy that i train my ass off but unhappy with my school marks, got to find a happy medium

yeah my parents give me shit also...the funny thing is ..is that they CLEARLY know i freestyle and they know that includes rails etc...but every single time i go to ski they always say..'your not allowed in the park and if i catch you doing any sort of rails...your grounded' but that might be becuz last season i fractured my nose face planting a rail but still Witt, just wait till your pro and then they won't be able to do shit cuz your doing what you wanna do #1 and your gunna be getting paid to do it #2 so what are they gunna say HONESTLY...just ignore em' fer now

when i was younger i would get grounded if i didn't place well in my races and i had to do loads of cardio and weight training everyday before i did homework or went out with friends. then i quit racing. now my parents keep a really close eye on me, and are always pushing me to get better which kind of blows. my dad's always watching me ski or having all his henchmen on the mountain watch me and make sure i'm not just cruising around and smoking weed, they're intense.

My parents are the same way. They are very concerned with my health. They dont like me skiing, and they hate me playin rugby, espically after i almost broke my neck last summer. BUt they accept that these are thigns that i love to do that that make me happy, so they respect that and me and let me do them. I respect them, they respect me (most of the time) so it works out rather well.

your parents are wierd. mine ski and are like do whatever you want on the mountian. my dad wants to learn jumps and jibbs haha. and if their worried about the risks...you can get injured doing anything so meeeh.

sometimes my mom gets pissed at my dad and I because we go skiing every weekend, even when she doesn't want us too. my dad and I bought ourselves passes, and we spend too much money on skiing so she gets pissed about that too. but it's like my dad and I vs. mom and we're both super mellow so we don't care that much. we do it anyway because we love it so much, and she kinda understands it because she skis too (just not as much and not as good) haha dope. skiing fo life

My aprents are very supportive, I just explain to them that I love it and they let me go out at 4 am to hit urban rails in the summer and have cops come and stuff, cause they realise its not as bad as it seems.

maybe its different because i live in jackson and its probably one of the biggest skiing communities, but I ski 6 days a week and my parents encourage it more than anything. they've never told me i cant go skiing. even if its just going to a friends house to hit a rail when there is an inch of snow on the ground.
