i was dancing my ass off to some of this shit on saturday and got to wondering about him. i think someone mentioned on here one time that he started out as a joke or something? and he had some pretty colorful things to say on his wikipedia page. anyone wanna hit me up with some info on this dude? thanks

watch both of those, its him explaining his live setup. its not that he hates on DJing, he just doesn't like the hate that his style (computers and shit) pulls.
 
I was told his name is deadmau5 with a 5 is because he was making a username or something on a website and it had a maximum character limit so he couldn't put deadmouse or deadmause, so he just threw a 5 at the end. Not sure of the validity of this statement i was just told this.
 
he is an interwebs geek. he uses forum slang and he actually codes some of the programs he uses to make that certain sound. the man is a genius and can really throw a concert.

he actually used to post on the internet, and take shit from people for making beats on 8th notes.

He talked some shit and people rained down on him with criticism and he couldn't take it very well.

To the point where the mods actually removed comments / entire threads.

This was back in 07/08 though.
 
Im pretty sure he is a /b/tard. Also, his music really isnt that good, hes popular for one song and because he wears a giant mouse on his head.
 
and marcus schossow had an alias by the name of deadrat6 and armin van buuren played a track deadrat6 made on a state of trance (probably the most popular trance show / trance artist worldwide)

so marcus schossow and deadmau5 also had a feud for a while

this feud lead to one of them not playing at a club in poland or switzerland (i forget). deadmau5 acted like a whiny bitch and packed his shit up.

then he went on the net and blamed it on his manager or something.

i forget but he said some retarded shit, and because of it, he no longer posts under any alias on the net that anyone would recognize really.
 
I used to listen to a lot of Deadmau5, then when trying to get into the free concert he was playing during the Olympics in Van, and hearing people inside chanting "Dead mau five" I just couldn't enjoy his songs anymore. Fuck main stream.
 
Yeah, lots of people were asking weather or not it was Dead-mau-5 or Deadmau-s. It was such a ill concert though.

I liked him before the baseball team at my raped him by playing ghosts n stuff 1500 times every day in the locker room. Now I think of the some of the bigger douchers in my school every time I hear him.

hahaah yes. listening to it after(or during) a nice buzz is key. dont know why but it sounds so sick under the influence.
 
I love hipster kitty, and I know it was a joke. I guess I was just getting too defensive. Either that or just sharing a cool story hansel in order to vent out my anger at the baseball team.

ugh not at coachella. I love Glitch Mob and I don't like Deadmau5 much at all, but Glitch Mob's set there was weak!

Haha yea... it took me about a week to figure out how to say his name. I felt like an idiot, but at least i corrected myself. To think people were at at the concert saying deadmaufive is pretty funny though.
 
tiesto released a cd in his "in search of sunrise" series with a deadmau5 song on it, and then he played a song by deadmau5 on his radio show and he pronounced it dead mau five

this is deadrat6 (aka marcus schossow) and his productions which are mocking deadmau5 for his simplistic notes and long build ups.
