DC sponsering skiers?

I am sure this has been posted before, but I couldnt find anything when i searched. Why hasn't DC jumped into the skiing scene? I understand they are built upon skaters and snowboarder, etc.. etc.. But, lets face it skiing is right up there now with every other sport, I figured when companies like anon starting sponsering skiers, DC would have jumped on it before them.

I just think times are changing and skate/snowboard/skiing scenes need to be one. Then again, I probably ask for too much.

If you only ski, you should definitely learn how to snowboard as well

 
Yeah that is definitely true, good point. Their shit is just so quality though, and they market really well. I figured they would really jump at every aspect of the market now start making hardware, and like you said ski boots would be sickkkkk. I would definitely rock DC golf shoes too... They should just start making anything and everything because it will sell easily

^ Good point. I can't even imagine DC ski boots. They put some of the innovative and progressive features into their snowboard boots. They have that little system where you can pump em up so its tighter on your foot. if they put that into a ski boot... say good-bye to shinbang. i dunno though.

DC skiboots would be the sick, but I doubt it would happen. If they did come to skiing, it would be jackets, hats, outerwear and street apparell, including shoes. I can't see much more than that.

And still, we'd be the bastard child.

DC making ski boots would require alot of investment. There is alot more manufacturing involvement creating a ski boot then there is for snowboarding. They would have to justify the expense of new manufacturing facilities and equipment, or subcontract the manufacturing out to an existing company.

So basically, they wouldnt be making alot of money

When you say the skate/snow/ski scene should all be one there's something you don't understand.

Skate/Snow/Surf is one scene. Skiing is another. They're not together, because guess what, despite what you may think, we're still a long way from not being considered gay.

Yeah i everyones points makes alot of sense, and the sign at the MTN lab is gay because skiing is just a sport just like snowboarding, your not badass just because you carry one board in your hand and not two over your shoulder.

Like I said before boarders should ski and skiers should board and stop being 12 years old and saying one is gay and one is cool

DC is a sick label period and so what, us skiers shouldnt wear it because the high up DC people say skiing is gay... pshhhhhhh, id like to smack them in their mouths

 
I'm sure they have an idea, I mean, they are a company and people aren't retarded. But anyways, why would DC jump into the skiing scene? THey shouldn't, thats like saying why dosen't Forum jump in, oh and why not every other snowboarding/skateboarding company.

Because DC is involved in skating, surf, bmx, snowboard etc.... they were started because of a love of skating im sure and evolved into other types of sports to sponsor. From what I remember they started off making skate shoes obviously, which lets face it if you partcipate in an extreme sport good chances are you were skater shoes either because you 1. skate, or 2. involved in the scene. So why shouldnt sponsor skiers

fuck that, skiers could go into that park and do shit that snowboarders would never be able to do on skis, and vice versa. If you are trying to say that skiers arent respected because we are skiers then your just a fag in general or your 16 years old.

Its a great market idea for DC to do this period.
