the jam was a freaking JOKE. dumbest thing i've ever been apart of. no one knew what they were doing and me and my boy lost to a TEN YEAR OLD. all he did was spin on the butter box and skipping all the hits except 2 or 3me and my friend were hitting everything, my friend was getting mad tech, disasters and both way 2s on 2s off and still some freaking ten year old won. biggest case of hometown heroism ever.
not to mention my younger brother, who completely slays, didn't even place. he was the most consistent boarder on the map, throwing the biggest, most tech tricks.it was so dumb
 
I saw the end of the railjam and the kids going all looked to be about 11 or 12. I thought I had just missed the main part of the jam, and was watching the 12 and under division or something.

Sucks you guys got blown over though by the judges. What were the prizes like?
 
1st place was $50 cash and a lame bag, lanyard bandanna. 2nd was a $30 gift card and a bandanna 3rd was A PLASTIC WHITETAIL CUP filled with confetti and 3 pieces of candy, and a $10 gift card..
it was complete weaksauce. i can't believe daniel didn't even place it was so stupid

Yep, all except for the black to the far right (Far Side maybe?)

Also, the run that usually has moguls is open as a regular slope, but has no moguls on it since there isn't enough snow to make them yet.

The park is looking okay with two jumps, probably a 20 and a 25 footer, and then 8 or 10 different boxes and rails.

Not bad, but should get better as the season gets underway
 
whitetail sucks. i guess the runs are fun, but it draws mad crowds.
also, never expect a good park from whitetail. i talked to park crew, they don't know what they are doing.also talked to the head of mountain safety, who oversees the terrain park. he requires every feature to be ride-on, because it's safer. ?????????????????????wtf. whitetail's park sucks. the jumps are ghetto'd out, terrible transition and impossible to get speed. not to mention the landings are short. all of the other features, barring maybe one, are set up as ride on. including 2 battleship rails. set up ride on? wtf. literal wtf. such trash
 
i could not agree more, they also add way to much lip, and not enough space to get enough speed.

on a different note, anyone going tomorrow?
 
If safety is the goal then perhaps there should not be ice chunk boulders next to the S rail and a very sketchy gap from the shotgun box. I rode Whitetail for the first time in a few years this past weekend and the park had some fun features, but there is so much untapped potential. They have the space and the slope to really make a legit park if they really wanted to commit. Although good parks and pipes are fun for me, I can't really blame resorts for not investing in parks. The cost vs. rewarard is small considering only a few will benifit from the park.

Props and thanks to whoever put some time into the park, it was fun on Saturday just cruzing through for a few hours after a long week at work. Park ended up being better than I expected.
 
whitetail might have the worlds worst park.
they make tiny kickers with huge gaps and no space and steepness to get speed. i had to start half way up the mountain to get enough speed to land relatively near the landing,
the biggest joke is the half pipe. i bet i could build a better halfpipe with glue and popsicle sticks. its just shit,
 
i have no respect for anyone who rides whitetail. the entire vibe is so consumer oriented. it's straight whack. never again.
 
yeah i plan on never going again. i used to because i always assumed it be better than liberty and everything else was too far for a day trip.
can we start a Newschoolers-wide ban of whitetail.
also no one calls their drop in the shitty park. its the absolute clusterfuck.
 
this was a little strong.
i just dislike whitetail. if you go there for actually skiing, it's the best around.
on all other counts, it sucks balls. also, that express lift is so sweet. liberty should steal it
 
not at whitetail. its a clusterfuck of long lift lines, shitty park, the worlds worst mogules, and worst of all, its in a dry county.
 
Well at least their town has a McDonald's right next to the mountain, so you don't have to pay $18 for a tv-dinner quality meal

so i was at dulles airport, and some kid on my flight decides to be wearing a purple jiberish shirt, a charlie hustle,aand a lohi hat, along with spk's, and purple jacket. reveal yourself!!
 
OMG I LIVE IN DUH DMV... btw i went to liberty today.. rode up with aaron... he tried to make funny jokes but they were actually really bad... and he tried to touch me in my private places...
