I'm for gay rights. I ignore every petition around here (and there's at least 5 a day) except for the gay rights ones. It's the only issue i woul ever participate in a protest for but I personally find the day of silence ridiculous

Yeah and fuck black history month, veteran's, and Christmas. God forbid we should honor the deaths of those that came before us.

fuck gay rights. as if rights are something that must be granted. How about we rid ourselves of a system in which we must beg and plead to be treated as we damn well should. excuse the tangent please.

Babby's first internet time. Here, lemme break it down: 1)>"i find day of silence a bit ridiculous". 2)Me: "yes, god forbid we should honor the dead that came before us, like in Veteran's Day, Black History Month, or Christmas." 3)You: "I don't follow".

He's for, just saying we live in a shitty society wherein we have to fight for rights that should be inherent and unalienable constructs imbued in our lives already.

Because, like I said, where I'm from the day of silence was for, and only for, gay rights, not the stuff you said

How are you alive? I'm drawing parallel between the DoS, which you find ridiculous, and the other holidays that often feature moments of silence or worship of the previously unjustly murdered or dead.

I have absolutely nothing against gay rights, i think gay/lesbians should have the exact same rights as a man and a women. But, like someone already said, the day of silence is stupid. I remember this shit in high school and it was just a catalyst for kids to make fun of the socially aware kids. Its also a catalyst for people against gay rights to come out and bash the people who are so for gay rights. Maybe im not as educated about the day of silence as i should be, it seems like people just want attention.

I'm disengaging from the aidan-g tardfest to address this: So should we not honor our dead for fear of bigotry? That means they win. You can't let people have power over a community like that or they gain foothold and take bolder steps against the community.

I think it'd be cool if some guy called another silent guy a f*ggot or something and then silent guy came up and punched him in the face, without saying a word.

Am i the only one who noticed the the video designates april 25 as the day of silence, when in fact, tomorrow is the twentieth.

It may turn out to be a day of silence only due to the impending weed coma that is sure to ensue.
