Day After Thanksgiving skiing

Hey NS
So I plan on having my first day on black friday or whatever. the day after thanksgiving. I was thinking about heading up to the UP, any chance there will be a park at either skibrule or indianhead? has anyone been up there, is one spot gonna be better than the others? Let me know what you think.

why not go to Granite Peak in Wausau? ranked number one for the midwest in Transworld Snowboarding magazine, they always have stuff set up first day
 
that is a really good idea. i had a season pass to granite last year and loved it! I never made it to opening day before, is it usually pretty well covered with snow? I know the UP has already recieved a couple inches of natural stuff, so the coverage might be better up there, but the parks maybe better down here. a conundrum...
 
well i went to Brule this past weekend and they didn't have any good jumps, and we had to set up all the boxes/rails. Granite last year had some jumps and a lot of rails
 
Granite forsure. Look up some of their opening day videos from past years. Pretty sick. I'm heading there that sunday after opening day after my family leaves after thanksgiving.
