I can't believe you just compared people boycotting hte movie to the black rights movement. Kid, you just lost any crediability you had with that idiodic statement. I'm not going to even bother responding to the rest of what you said beyond thanking you for a good laugh.
 
thats just like getting pissed about that big book club that meets ever sunday to discuss it's fictional book as if it was real.
 
I loved the book...Angels and Demons was just as good if not better...i mean they were fanominal
 
i only read the first chapter....from what i hear its a good book. People are making to big of a deal though its not real.
 
I may have lost credibility in your mind, but thats because you are an idiot. That is why you cannot even come up with a decent response. Boycotting the movie is about standing up for one's religous beliefs. Just as the bus boycott was for black people standing up for their beliefs in equality. The unfairness in the seating on the buses offended their beliefs, just as this DaVinci Code shit offends Christians' beliefs. And that is just one example. Explain to me why my analogy is an "idiodic" statement. If anything it's you who has lost all credibility by butchering the spelling of some simple elementary words.

The percecusion of an entire race if far different then a fictional book. The anaolgy is like comparing the holocaust to killing a bug...it just doesn't work.

I agree people have the right to get all worked up over a fictional book, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a very stupid thing to get worked up over. Why not spend the time trying to solve problems that matter in the world, isntead of making a huge stink about a fictional book? Do you see how ridiculous it seems? Hell, if there was a book that offended me, you know what I would do about it! NOT READ IT AND GET ON WITH MY LIFE. It's one thing if he was trying to pass the book off as a factual thing, but considering it's sold a fiction and makes no incinuation to it being true (his facts page does state some things as true, I seem to remeber you pissing yourself over the Priory of Zion being true... well, for awhile it was thoguht that it WAS a real thing, as there were historical documents and people saying they were part of it, but it turned out to be a farce.) I don't know, it just seems ludacris to me for an entire religion of people to get worke dup about a fictional book. But then again, I guess these are the same people who base their lives around a book with a lot of fiction in it to begin with...
 
Although the obelisks origins are disputed, the fact remains that it was transported by Caligula into the main circus of Rome during his reign. During its time in the circus it had no connection to Sun worship. The obelisk was placed in the Vatican in the 16th century to remember the martyrdom of all the early Christians, (many who died in that same circus) Saint Paul, and Saint Peter. All the other obelisks in Rome were overturned except this one. So if you're going to try to point out Pagan conspiracies like every other fool who had read Dan Brown's books, know your history first.

im catholic. i dont ban anything. i think its riculous to censor people from reading something that wont cause harm. like i mean i could see banning the anarchists cookbook from a school or something, but not "a million little pieces" or harry potter.

Your interpretation of my analogy is completely wrong. How does the Holocaust and killing a bug relate to people standing by their beliefs? If I were to write a FICTIONAL book about heroic deeds of Nazis during the Holocaust it would be scorned. Would people who boycott this book be stupid for standing by their belief that Nazism is wrong? Or would they be stupid for getting all worked up over my fictional book?

Of course neo-nazis would love my book because it downplays on Jews and the Jewish faith.

In the same light, atheists love the DaVinci Code because it downplays on Christians and the Christian faith.

Furthermore that cockroach Dan Brown included that Priory bullshit on his fact page KNOWING it was a farce.
