Whats up with this deal.... he is going to survive in this tank for a week and then hold his breath for 7 minutes or whatever it is? Do you think he will make it, DIE, or call it off??
 
I wish there was some live video feed......I just wondering what he is doing in there all this time!!! I sure hope he has the old urination thing worked out I sure wouldn't want him just letting it go in that tank.
 
I didn't know anything about him I just saw a primetime special on it a few minutes ago. It seems more stupidity than magic to me.
 
david blaine is the ultimate mind-over-matter dude. he stood up on a freakin pole for 48 hours.... no food, no sleep, nothin. he's insane. and the fact that he's got maaaaad tricks up his sleeves makes him all the gnarlier. his card tricks are so dope.
 
its a fake...you can't hold your breathe that long.

Its simple.

It is not mind over matter, its an illusion.
 
it's definately doable. just because the average person can't do it, doesn't mean you can't train your body to be able to. obviously, he isn't just going out and doing this.. hell most deep-sea divers have trained themselves so they can hold their breath for 4-5 minutes. i definately don't think this is impossible.
 
Heres whats going on. He's spending a week in a water filled tank on lifesupport. He will be able to breathe in the tank fine. Just no food or water. When the week is up he will attempt to hold his breath with no life support for 9 minutes. The current world record is 8 minutes and 58 seconds.
 
did anyone see the daily show correspondant talking about how he is going to set a record by making fun of David Blaine for a week straight
 
you cant seriously belive this can you? i mean seriously i guy holding his breathe for, what was it? 9 minutes? its TV they can make any of it seem real
 
Us brits know how to treat that idiot. When he sat in a box hung from a crane in London for a couple of months he got so much abuse, people threw eggs and drove golf balls into the side. "ooh look at me, I'm david blaine and I can sit in a perspex box for a bit living off a drip and water" What's impressive about that?

My buddy rowed across the Atlantic Ocean single handedly last year, from the US to England. It took him 129 days and he was totally alone all that time; now that is impressive, but because he's not an arrogant prick like Blaine going around on TV telling everyone how wonderful he was he didn't get much recognition.

He emptyed the contents of his stomache before he got in. So he is not going to have anything to poop out. And he has a tube going in there where he can drink liquids. Also he has a cathiter(sp?) so he can take a piss and not sit in it all week long. And the way he breathes is through a diving mask thing. I don't think this one is as cool as when he stood in a block of ice for like 4 days or something. That was narly.
 
cris angel. i dont know about him. he does stuff that seems more illusion than mind over matter, like when that car drove through a brick wall with him on it? if i was there and touched the brick id prolly believe it more. same with david blaine. also, why is it a big deal that he is gonna be in water with life support for a week? there have been many people that have not eaten solid food for a week, and the water thing can't be bad for you, so i dont get the feat. the holding his breath i get, because he's actually doing something.
 
Actually I'm not normally. Blaine just rattles my cage: most fellow brits have the same opinion. We think he's arrogant. He's never been popular in the UK, I don't know what he was thinking suspending himself above London, he was bound to get abuse. We're British hooligans for god's sakes.
 
maybe i dont get this but isnt he in a tank of water so how can he have no food or water
 
It was pretty funny when some guy got a remote control helicopter and hung a big mac from it and flew it around blaineys glass box. Hilarious
