um prolly cause skiings his job and he has to do it and every1 has high expectations of him and it can be stressful, like surfings prolly just a release, something he can do for fun and just go out and have a good time

Just because he is a pro skier, doesn't mean it is his absolute favourite thing to do in the world, im sure alot of pro skiers like doing other stuff more, like im sure JF Cusson likes golf better than skiing.

They probably thought that too before they had to spend every waking hour skiing all the time. Everyone thinks it would be awesome to ski all the time, but it would probably get a little different after a while.

if you skied 24/7 and everyone held u in their highest expectations, and you had serious stress causing injuries like cracking a vertebrae on a street sign, then you would want to do something else once in a while..........besides, dont question what crichton does. hes original

I live in ottawa and i was kayaking at this wave that is close to downtown, and he was there surfing it, it was nuts, no helmet, no lifejacket, and he wasnt bad either. pros to surfing over skiing: usually happens in warm climates, water is soft, its free except for the board, can do it where you live (ie/ ottawa) hotter chicks, see theres lots of reasons to like it better... give the man a break

it seems like this stage of life for a lot of people around our age is like when you are playing a video game and you beat the Final Boss, only to find out that was just a decoy Final Boss and the real Final Boss is about 50x harder. and on top of that, you used all your special tricks to beat the Decoy, and you are also low on life. and you have a crappy third party controller.
 
i agree with bigkstylie surfing has such a good culture adn when its pure and no fuck heads about its great...whereas most skiers are fuckheads and they are uptight adn care about their image adn how much 'better' they are but with surfing its just about gettin a suck wave and havin fun with your mates its sooo mujch more relaxed and free i mean waves are never different whereas the moountaion is always the same so its more of an acomplishment to ride 4 waves in a row than hit a rail 4 times adn make it................wow i rambled

he's a pretty good surfer. I have seen him rip up the local whitewater wave in ottawa at champlian bridge when it's up in the spring.

yeah i can see skiing, filming and compititons for a living could be stress ful cuz you gotta maintain your sponsers / income and at the same time try to do new things to be cool and not get hurt cuz that ruins your job for the season. for 90% of us on here skiing is our realese from work and school for them it starts to be the other way around
