Dave Chrichton rips race room D-stars at Vt Open

I took one run with this kid, had no idea who he was on the lift. Riding a pair of race room D-Star course 66 GS skis and ripping shit. I raced for a few years and was on a Volkl P60 GS and still could hardly keep up with him. He claims to ski pipe on those same skis when the snow gets too soft. Has anyone seen him or anyone else ski pipe on racers? Doesn't seem like too bad of an idea as long as you are not landing anything switch. Cept' their heavy as shit for spins. I still find that hard to believe and think he was f'n wit me. Any ideas?

Yes, but i didn't figure out it was DC until we got to the pipe and people strated talking to him. We took two chairs from Sun bowl to the top of Stratton and after we figured out we were goin to the same spot decided to take the same run down to the pipe.

i find that pretty cool. if you look at anyone on the line or armada teams, they wouldnt be caught dead on a pair of race stock skis.

He snuck on the lift with me and my three boarder friends by charging the lift gate real late before it closed. I didn't even get a look at him until we stopped at the entrance to the pipe.

In light of what happened this year, DC has decided to ski race-ready Dyna skis only for now and for the future. He has retired his bag of tricks, and will pursue a career in racing. He feels that if he trains hard enough, he may be able to put up some good numbers around the GS courses here in Ottawa. He'll go down as a local legend.

YES it's true David was testing the 66 Course ski for his next pro-model. David will be switching to race for next year, to see if he can be a cross-over athelte. please respect his desicion and buy his new race inspired pro-model

ahahaha you guys are losers...crichton is the coolest person. he was riding those skis because when your injured whats the sense of skiing on twin tips when you cant use them? why not ski a good carving ski? hes changed so much over the years tho appearance wise

^the crichton pro is far from that...the flex is totaly different. its a fully different ski thats stiffer and designed for better pipe riding

It's the same dimensions as the troublemaker, so it's not a totally different ski. It also has the same weak-ass edges. Sort of like the MSP supermodels. They're stiffer, but same ski otherwise. Granted, they are much more durable than troublemakers.

WAIT i can verify this kids story, i rode up the lift with him at the open. he looked as his buddy with him and said something about going to get the race skis next run, i wasent sure if he was joking or not, i guess he wasent.

dave is the man at the d-structure jam in cranmore he was on the singles line and me and my pal were in doubles and he rode up by us and we were looki g at eatchother like is that dave crichton then he was like hey boys and skied with us for like 3 ruuns! it was great
