sry for the billion posts i just keep correcting myself. but yea thats all ya needa know

I work at Colorado Ski and Golf Aurora selling passes for Vail, so if you are around stop by. Im not sure the price of the Teen Colorado Pass as of now because they just recently went up, but they will be on sale through mid November. Expect another price increase of around $20 per pass (some passes raise higher, some lower but the Colorado Pass usually raises at the same increment). Currently there aren't too many lines because the price isnt raising for a while, but if you cant get here until near the end of the pass sales, then you will probably have to wait in a decent line. Some general tips/rules to make it easier on you and us:

-Credit, money orders or cheque only (no cash, at least at my store. Im pretty sure this rule applies everywhere though)

-If you are under 18 you must have a parent or guardian on hand to sign the waiver for you.

-If you bring in a parents credit card, they must either be present, or you must have a note written and signed by them in order for Vail Resorts to accept the card.

-Be nice to the people selling you your pass. We have contol over a few things dealing with the pass, and you wont be happy if you go out the first day and it doesn't work right.

-Donate a dollar to the National Forrest Foundation. You would be suprised with how many people don't do this. Its just one dollar and goes to a good cause, plus Vail matches every dollar.

I guess thats all my tips for now. Any other questions and you can pm me.

Oh, and one more thing I might add. On the website as mentioned above it states the stores are only open on weekends, but thats not true. At least with my store (CSG Aurora), we are open everyday and have a weekday crew that works. Some of the other bigger stores also sell passes during the week as well.

Don't just buy day tickets, thats so stupid if you spend more than 6 days on the hill. Do the math, right now adult Colorado Passes are 439, if you ski 6 days, you have paid off the pass. We actually get a lot of people that will make a trip out here in the fall just to buy their passes.

Yes, sales usually go through mid November.

No, I can't get discounts on Superpasses because I only sell Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge, and Abasin passes. Plus, with our software they made it impossible to give any kind of discounts. Thankfully, I get a free pass thats unlimited at all of Vail's Resorts (Vail, Beaver, Breck, Key, Abasin), and I get paid. Not a bad gig for a part time job.

Im not saying you have to, just that its crazy how far some people travel just to get the pass. Sorry about your situation.

id go for one now or they may have one then. i actually bet they will but it will pry go up another $50 to $100 dollars

i'm living in FLA right now. blah.

i'm really hoping i can get one when i get there in Jan. i don't care if they tack on but it will still be cheaper.

yea fer sure. im pretty sure they sell em it just may only be available at the mtn that late. also where ya moving to up here?

boulder. my friend is letting me stay with him. well for a price. 440 a month. could be better. i could be stayin in breck or keystone like i originally wanted, but it's hard doing business in florida.

i hope i can get one. i will be so disappointed if i can't. lol.

if i do get one i will get the summit pass. i don't NEED vail even though it's my favorite mountain. and beaver creek isn't cool anymore. lol.

im in kinda the same boat, im moving out to CO in january. but my sister lives Aurora think it would be possible for her to pick one up for me?

well, no, because you have to get your picture taken for it...so you have to be there in person...

also, i think theyve already done the first price hike, so i dont think the 300 whatever price is still in effect, but i might be wrong...it gets cranked up by a LOT whenever snow starts falling. the reason it's so cheap in august and september is because there's still a certain degree of risk involved in buying one because the season might be kinda stinky.

that said, if anyone is going to be living in boulder or whatever, just go to Boulder Ski Deals...it's a shop that sells passes and does all the photos and stuff right there in the store.

well since buying the pass also includes signing a couple waivers and legal forms, i doubt theyll let her forge your signature right in front of them...she could like take it home or something, or get them to fax it to you and you can fax it back...but im pretty sure it's gonna be purrrrrrrdy hard to do it in absentum
