Hey ya'll.. check them out.. seriously! mike d got me hooked on them, and i'm sooooo looking forward to seeing them in concert at the gorge. i highly reccomend their song Swiss Army Romance.

i saw them live at iriving plaza in NYC, he was pretty good live and every1 starts singing the songs for him. my favorite song is probably the best deceptions.

 
They're great.

He's got so many good songs. They're all dropped down a step so they're easyer to sing with. frickin awesome.

If you like that kind of music check out Project Kate, she plays mostly acoustic music. I havent heard of her touring in the last few years though, she was the first person I ever saw at a punk/hardcore show on stage by herself playing guitar. I saw dashboard twice this year, first time there were probably 350 people, the second time there was 2500...its amazing to see someone become popular so fast.

well it's one guy. But it's a whole band. the drummer, violinist and so on, are always changing but it's not just him standing on the stage alone.

i liked it more when it was just him... i was thinking of going to c him at the weezer show when it comes to NY. how do u think he'll sound at jones beach?

 
me too...now that its been MTVized its a whole band...and screaming infideleties is soo much better when its just him...there was a rumor he like freaked out when he got booed of stage once and totally lost it, i dunno if its true tho

i guess he flipped his shit at hte crowd and said how he hated all these people who just liked him cause of MTV and shit like that

'What seemed like unceasing up-rise of support for Dashboard Confessional the past few months, has down turned into a startling surprise. Late last week, the girls that have seemed to replace the names of pop-star heartthrobs for emo-star Chris Carrabba, began booing and chanting for Carrabba to leave the stage after comments he made about his fan turn-out. Carrabba not only smashed his guitar last Thursday before he stormed off his set in Portland, OR - but also shattered his progressing future, when he stated he was sick of all of his 'Poser, pseudo-fans' and 'MTV itself'. Fans have turned their backs on Carrabba as his top.

His apperance on 'Last Call' with Carson Daily which was pre-recorded last month,has been pulled from its original airing date. Video rotation of 'Screaming Infidelities' have stopped. One fan stated after Carrabba stormed off the set, 'He's the one who chose where he is now, he lost his original fans on account of his own g--damn greed.' Meghan Elliot says, 'I couldn't believe it. Who would've thought someone so emo.. could get that insanely pissed-off.' After this event, it comes to no surprise that Dashboard Confessional is dropping many shows lined up for his tour with Weezer.'

yeah i saw fenixtx in concert a few summers ago.. they're pretty good, and i'm glad they havent completely sold out with trl and all that crap

www.emotionalpunk.com is a great site, if you run into that kid that runs it tell him thats its great and the effort that he puts into it is appreciated.

I found out about dashboard sometime in the winter, and no one knew about him. now everyone knows who he is. its cool i guess, as long as he stays on mtv2 and doesnt get mainstream

haha in the winter? he was alraedy getting known in the winter. i knew about him over a year ago, and my friends have been into him for even longer...so the winter really isn't that long of a time to have known of him

yknow, i like them, too. its not the same emo-core, sissy punk, pop/punk, what have you. i think it kind of sounds like good new wave w/ a heaping serving of punk mixed in.

Oh yeah, i forgot to say it was one of the best performances I've seen. he was sooo into his music and it made the concert that much better even though he only got to play for 40 minutes. from how he was talking, it sounds like he's still going to be on tour with weezer, so dont fret. i'm probably gonna drag tyler's ass to that concert too ;)
