did you guys know that dash is only 18...that means that all of the movies he is in this year he was only 17 when they were filmed...so he was only 16 in stereotype?????? is this correct?

i don't know how old he is. but he has some of the sickest style out there. watch stereotype, you will see that this is true.

in the december freeskier, they had an article on the stereotype riders, and it said if dash did so and so world rule would occur in 2006, and the issue was 2002, so he was 16 in stereotype. but in the november issue he was featured in plakes picks, they said he was 17

 
don't get me wrong, dash is my friend, but he isn't as good as everyone says, the only reason he's pro is cause he's in the right place at the right time and he knows how to sell himself to the sponsers

I just met dash long a few minutes ago at D-structure a wicked pro ski shop (the only one) out hear in quebec. He ain't that old but told me that he liked to focus on style rather than hitting big tricks. By the way, here is the link to D-structure ski shop.

It's about the progression of the sport, not the age of the skier. But if you are freaking out that Dash Longe is 18.....just look at ten year old Duncan Adams. Or The Dumont, who isn't even out of highschool yet is already nastier than nasty. It's about keeping up with the pace of the sport and being innovative, not just about having plenty of time left.

dude, that 10 year old duncan adams kid is amazingly sick...i skied with him at the line jam at loon last year, and he was getting like 4-5 ft out of the pipe, and throwing some pretty stylie 3's of the booter...he may have evn thrown a 7...i cant remember

jibberkid69: I dont think you're telling truth about Dash Longe being your friend. If he is really your friend, you'd idolize him and give him tons of prop. I've seen him ride and he impressed the hell out of me with his freeskiing ability when I snowboarded.

Dash doesnt do the hardest things, or even semi hard things in the air, but he goes real big and he is really solid on rails. And he does unnatural rodeos and corks. Unnatual rodeo is hard.

I think LINE is sick, Dash, Mike Wilson, Mike Nick, POLLARD(so stylie), and skogen. Its a solid team, with a solid look on the freeskiing movement. so is NS tho.....

I'd say age has a bunch to do with it.

sure you may learn quicker and have more courage when you're younger....but it's hard to be THAT into something at a young age...and to find the motivation to want to get good...and to understand the business side of it....and if obviously you wouldn't have skied as long as these other guys...and less expereince...etc.

ya he is sick fo sure, i think dumont deserves more props though because he is super stulie too but does way harder trick like his switch cork 10. and he is really young too. BUt dash is sick in his own way
