Ok, here's the deal. DARPA has a new "network" challenge this year. The challenge is to locate (with long/lat coordinates; GPS devices work well for this!) 10 numbered red weather balloons that will be up tomorrow, Saturday, December 5th only. The balloons will only be up during the daylight hours, and will be spread out within the continental United states. The winning team, the first one to report all 10 balloon locations, wins $40,000
MIT has organized a team that pays the first finders and their teammates (in old school internet scam pyramid fashion!), and IMO has the best shot of winning. Join the team, recruit your friends, and look for the balloons tomorrow!

(And yes, that *is* a referral style link!)
For those not in the know, DARPA is the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, a devision of the United States military and Department of Defense. You can read more about the challenge here: http://networkchallenge.darpa.mil/
