Dark Knight

^they will make more. johnny depp would be so ill as riddler. i wikipedia-d various villians and i read that penguin is probably not gonna be in the movies b/c it would be hard to do. idk about mr. freeze or ivy.

freeze wouldn't happen cus nolan hates using cgi, ivy would work on the level of scarecrow, ie a sub villain to the main plot.

Raz could come back, because after all he is immortal. Scare crow I have no fucking clue why they did what they did with him, Cillian was amazing in that roll.

What would be amazing would be to see Harley Quinn brought in as a main villain in jokers steed.

Again Catwoman is a big favorite, and could be brought into waynes love life now that rachael is out of the picture.

The only one that I could see topping ledgers performance, would be the riddler, or maybe the vent, cus they are both creepy characters and could play into the dark theme these new movies have very well.

Could even play on the Bane story, and use a series of lesser known villains while the bat is down for the count.

Anarky would be a cool character to see, mad young and wicked out there.

Hush would be cool as well, cus he isn't mad flashy and played mind games more then anything else.

Mad hatter, maybe.

Mr. Z would fit in well, but would be hard to get him into the whole political plot they have going.

Not sure what else.

i forgot to say, they arent using catwoman either. the thing about Raz coming back is that this mvoie is supposed to be more realistic, so they won't do it. like no villian or superhero so far has had super powers.

joker.jpg

when that guy tries to blackmail morgan freeman and hes like "you are going to blackmail someone who kicks peoples ass at night" was such a funny scene

johnny depp would be an awesome next villain if it was the riddler, hopefully that's the next one-good idea whoever that was.
everyone's gonna be so pissed if they bring back a new joker, that would suck

yes! if they bring back someone else as the joker ill be so pissed, heath ledger was perfect in that role so why would they fuck up by casting someone worse

ohhhh plus, SPOILERSSSS BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

harvey dent says when he has dinner with bruce and rachel "you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain" two face didnt exactly live very long after he became a villain

I totally agree. I actually just watched american history x and norton was amazing, but tonight i watched the dark knight and heath ledger was fucking amazing.

i have to add that when batman threw that guy off the balcony and he broke his ankles or legs or whatever, i turned to my friend and was like, "I BROKE MY ANKLES! MY ANKLES ARE BROKEN! FUUUUCK! MY ANKLES ARE BROKE!"

she didn't get it.

not sure if this has been touched on, but isn't the dark night returns mostly batman vs cops? Hopefully the next movie will focus on that rather than a regular vilan

nolan has said that he wont use robin in any of his batman movies. did anyone catch when bale asks morgan freeman if the new suit will stop dogs and he says that "it'll stop a cat". catwoman reference? there's no way two face is out of the picture. aaron eckhart was phenomenal as harvey dent/ two face. his transformation from gotham's savior into a joker-influenced villain was one of the highlights of the movie.

harvey's dead but two face is still alive. They faked harveys death so that everyone thinks he died a hero, instead of showing what the joker had done to the "white knight of gotham". Batman said he'd take the fall for all the people two face killed, so theres no trace that harvey ever became a bad guy.

Im putting my bet that two face will definitely be back in the next film(if there is one). When they cut back to the spot where he was laying, his body isn't there anymore.

Anyway the movie was fucking awesome and I plan on seeing in at least another time. It was sooooo good

i know thats what i'm saying, the possibility of him still being alive. but its not definite that they faked his death, it could go either way. but if he turned into the villain and saw himself become the villain, then its unlikely he would die so soon. so i think hes still alive

there might be a possibility that the reese guy will become the riddler. cause the joker keeps referring to him as mr. reese (mysteries)

NO NO NO, Norton is not the same class of actor that the villains in the batman movies have been played by.

Cillian Murphy, Heath Ledger, Liam Neeson, and Johnny Depp would kill the Riddler over Norton.

I don't know why the new hulk movie did so well, I thought it was hundreds of times worse then the first one and that they should have not redone it. I am in the minority on that though.

Hush would be nice, but like you said, he plays mind games. Maybe to many mind games for a movie. Its Batman, we want action. With hush you would barely see him and batman confront

If the bring  catwomen into the 3rd movie i will not go see it.  I want to see the riddler.  I think it would be a good solution instead of havin the joker return since no one could ever replace that performance.  They can make the riddler real dark like they made the joker.  I just couldnt take catwomen seriously.  I also think nolan should bring in robin, i see how it could make it look "gay" after batman forever, but if they took time they can make it epic.

i just saw it for the 1st time last night and it was amazing. but for some reason even though i knew it was heath ledger i couldn't help but thinking it was jonny depp for some reason like they looked liek the same person

my friend and i paid a drunk $5 each to sneak us in. he went in and started yelling about the price of popcorn and made a huge scene, and we walked right in. i realize i might get neggy karma for this, but you should also know that thatwas the last time i could see it and it was sold out.

I've gone three different days to three different theatres and the showings are always sold out.

So i came home and watched it on the web and it was epic. Except for the guy who was taping it left out the last 5 minutes i'm pretty sure.

i also think they will make another movie because wayne manor is still not built after the fire in the first movie, and batman needs a batcave not just a bat under-ground room with things that pop out of the floor

My review from my NS full review seen here: https://www.newschoolers.com/web/content/blogs/jid/1081/eid/2816/

With

$155 million this weekend, and first on IMDB with scores of 10 it was hard to

find anyone that had anything negative to say about the movie. If you look back

at the earlier reviews though there is a good page and a half of people

trashing the movie, and while I agree with some of their points I have written

this to try to give the least unbiased perspective, from neither a batman nerd,

and dark batman movie hater, to express a movie that will I am sure be remember

as a great one for many, many years.

So the circumstances surrounding this

movie with Heath Ledgers death provoked a lot of extra hype around this

movie, especially around joker’s performance, so I tried to go into the movie

with as little bias, and believing that it was no more than hype. Even as

leaving the theater I told my brother I would have to sleep on it and let it

sink in so I could properly critique it in the morning.

I believe that it

was well written and thus causing the acting to be decent. Some of the story

was a bit iffy to me, for example I would have liked to have heard more about

the jokers background as it provoked at lot of interest to see what were the

things in his life to drive him to such antics. You have to have a dark sense

of humour to enjoy some of his antics (hospital scene). Some of the plot didn’t

make perfect sense either to me. For instance when batman decided to save

Harvey Dent rather than his ex Rachael, when they were running from the building

about to blow up I would have thought they would have been sprinting for their

lives but it didn’t seem like that, batman didn’t even try protect him really

or anything, they barely if jump away, and thus causing Harvey to become two

face.

As for time, I must be honest and say a

few times I did wonder how long it would continue only that because of the

intense scene where I was amazed at how much longer it could continue, although

Heath performance was great and yes he will win at least one Oscar, I would

have liked to see more appreciation for Dent (two face). His acting was great

as well. As for Christian as batman his acting wasn’t superb I didn’t see

anything from him that really surprised me but overall the action kept me in my

seat through the full 2 hrs and 30 mins (roughly) and will definitely be a

movie to live on in its epicness

As for Heath Ledger, to go out on a

role, well its not really possible to go out on a role bigger than this, as it

doesn’t get any bigger, seeing him in the last few scenes you had to think to

yourself would this be the last scene he would ever be filmed in? To say the

least you cant get any bigger than his last role really and ill admit he played

his character very well, and I’m sure he’ll always be a legend.

I'd like to close by saying, out of 10 i would give this movie 9,

not a 10, because although this is a very special movie, and will live

on as an epic one by most, the movie had to have been perfect, and

perfect it was not.

ENJOY!

well that was quite the post^.....I would also like to add that the moviw was baller and thorouly entertaining and the reason batman saved two face was because he knew what was best for the city and he though his little girly friebnd mightr make it....

i thought joker told batman the wrong addresses? like switched them for harvery and rachael.

when he was leaving didnt gordon ask him who he was going to save, didnt he say rachael?

or did i get that messed up and he told gordon to save rachael...

such an amazing movie, i just saw it for the second time

heres one of my favorite quotes:

Let me get this straight. You think that your employer, one of the

richest men in the world, is spending his nights running around the

city beating criminals to a pulp with his bare hands? And your plan is

to blackmail him? Good luck with that.--Lucius Fox

i finally saw it tonight. greatest

movie

of

all time.

and to the guy above me that was pretty much one of my favorites. that and at the beginning

"what bus" whaaaam!

batman wanted to save rachel

its clear in the movie theres a couple lines that go:

gordon- who are you going for?

batman- rachel

they joker gave the location of dent for rachel and rachel for dent so cause he knew batman would go after rachel

yup hes a tricky one

qft. i have no idea why nobody pointed this out to dent after rachel died though, i mean it would have consoled him quite a bit...i guess that would ruin the half-face storyline though...
