Dark Knight.... LAME

Am I the only one who didn't blow a load to this movie? Batman's voice was annoying as hell and I couldn't stand it. There wasn't a real good story line besides "Oh Em Geeee, gotham city is in danger!11!1!!111!". All it was was 10 minutes of lame fighting, the joker licks his lips and plays with his hair, 2 minutes of filler, 10 minutes of lame fighting, and so on. I almost fell asleep like 3 times. Anybody else think it wasn't as good as everyone says it is? I walked in with expectations, and they weren't even that high, and they still didn't even get close to being met. And to top it off, I paid $12.50 to see that garbage on an Imax screen. Fuck that movie, it was beat.

it was outrageously long, and i agree that plot was going in circles, and i fell asleep 3 times during the movie... is it possible we are the same person?

However my saving grace was that the girl i went with bought like 20 bucks worth of candy so i ate all that. So all in all pretty good movie.

your probably gonna get a lot of hate but i somewhat agree with you. batmans voice ruined that shit for me, storyline was okay kept me on my toes, and heath was overrated. not to say he was bad, because he was quite good but he wasnt that wasnt the best performance ive seen in my life as everyone of my friends says but i think the hype was just too much

Batman's voice was the same as it was in the first movie. it's different for a reason. And everyone is entitled to their opinion, I liked the movie. Heath Ledger was fantastic in my opinion. Does he deserve to win an Oscar? I don't know, but nominated for sure. But the academy will do their usual BS and award it to him because they probably should have for brokeback, plus he recently died. They always do this make up crap (like Denzel getting snubbed for Hurricane and Russel Crowe winning for Gladiator, then the next year Denzel winning for Training Day and Russel NOT winning for Beautiful Mind). Oh well.

The things I didn't really like about it was the far fetched cell phone sonar and the bike the went into the wall at almost full speed then like drove up it and flipped around. I understand that obviously something like spiderman or superman is far fetched with superpowers, so you have to take the technology stuff with a grain of salt in both this movie and Ironman, but still. That bike thing was really the only thing that pissed me off, I can accept the cell phone sonar I guess.

i liked the movie but i dont think everyone has to but i think those are stupis reasons to hate a movie ...of course gotham is in trouble that is the point of the movie that is the point of every super-hero movie someone or something is in trouble and their is a villan and the good guy has to fight

What should my reasons be? Like you said not everyone has to like it, but as soon as they tell you why they don't like it you tell them that they aren't legit enough reasons to not like it. Kind of contradictory if you ask me...

I was waiting for Mr. Against-the-Grain to pop up.

and as for length? More power to them. Some of these short ass, filled to the brim to keep short attention spans happy is a bit annoying, because... it feels rushed.

No need to say much in a thread like this.

ok the dark knight was a wee bit to long but was a great fucking movie for being a super hero movie im normally not into that kinda shit but the joker was fucking awesome. and as far as scarface goes its a classic but horrible fucking acting and is way over rated!!!

I thought the movie was pretty dope. The plot got a little confusing at times, but you really just had to pay attention and it wasn't too bad. I'm sure if I watch the movie again I'll pick up on a lot of things I missed the first time I watched it. The Joker was amazing, Ledger did a GREAT job. And for Batman's voice, isn't it supposed to sound forced? I thought the whole point of the voice he does in the movie is because he wants to hide his identity, so it's obviously going to be a forced superhero voice.

false. that movie was dope. joker was awesome. batman was tight. two face was sick. couldn't have been happier after seeing that movie.

You probably saw the wrong movie. I'm a clear fan of the Joker he's so dope. And Batman's voice wasn't that bad... at least in french.

It was definitely too long. I thought that it was going to end every three minutes, they should have cut it off after the joker concluded, and made the two face thing the next movie. And the voice was annoying, I agree.

But besides that, it was still endlessly entertaining and sick, I love batman. And Ledger did a great job, although whenenver it looked more like Ledger than the joker it kinda made it worse, I usually amagine the joker to be like pushing 40.

I agree with you that is was no where near the best movie i have ever seen. It's pretty hard to live up to all the hype I guess. It was still a good movie which is pretty rare these days. And if you consider that this is a comic book movie its hand down the best one I've seen. but still, best movie ever? i don't think so.

the movie was epic, top notch film making. All the acting was excellent, the characters were well developed, and all the characters were true to their comic book influences. Batman's voice isn't annoying at all imo.

yeah man i mean, just because a few things about the movie annoyed you doesn't mean it's "lame"

it was a fantastic movie, going to win many awards, and is about as deep as an action/superhero movie can be while still entertaining the shit out of everyone. ledger's performance is goin down in history, too, man. no hate.

i will say tho, i agree with the people above that hate scarface. i think that movie was an absolute atrocity. i won't explain why, but i think it a horrendous film....but that's niether here nor there.....

batman was dope.

ya you would be licking your lips more then him if your mouth was as fucked up and full of gross dry scars like the joker's, maybe you were just in a shitty mood which messed up your movie experience

batmans voice was annoying i agree but the joker was really good in my opinion and i liked the overall theme and feeling

Like I said, Lame. Me and my buddy toked out of my bong in the parking lot before I saw it...

And to whoever said I could have been in a bad mood, you are right. The movie started at 11pm and I had been up at 7am and had worked for 6 hours. I could have just been tired as fuck and wanting to go to bed.

fail

dark knight was off the hook

but his voice is pretty annoying, but it's believable because he has to cover up his real voice

no. i thought it was decent, but i think that for its time, it was probably great. i mean, when it came out, movies didn't get much better than that. nowadays al pacino is just some dried up tosser.

well i thought the movie was pretty dank, but i saw it for free on www.movie 6.net but i think it got removed so it was pretty low quality and i couldnt be anoyed by things like voices cuz it was all low rent.

yeah I agree with you. its ok, but not amazing. so many better crime movies, like the godfather, goodfellas, american gangster.

anyways I fell asleep the first time i saw the dark knight, but thats cause I was drunk and I had gotten up at 7 to make a long drive to visit my friend. after I woke up I vowed to see it again ASAP, and I did, and it was awesome.

only problems I have is not enough character development with two-face and he's gone so quick that unless hes not really dead and comes back in the next one, I'm pretty disappointed. I don't get how he goes from good to evil like that.

they should have had batman willingly choose to save him instead of rachel, for the greater good of gotham. then when he was in the hospital, dent should have seen visions of himself with both sides burnt, his repressed evil personality ("big bad harv" if anyone remembers the animated series) which convinces him to turn evil.

honestly though, they shouldn't have even shown two-face in that movie. should have been in the next movie.

I don't get Batman.. Why is he even classified as a superhero, when he has no superpowers? Superman can fly and all that other stuff, spiderman is strong and does all those spider-ish stuff, but batman only has the batmobile and that Robin guy.
