I don't know about that shit, the artwork is cheezy at best, no real skill involved. the name is pretty gay sounding too, why would we keep calling it Freeskiing, sounds kinda dumb. and besides a company that doesnt make real ski gear or real street wear, like jeans, kakis, and high quality items is wack. do you realize how much effort it takes to make hoodies? none, you buy some fruit of the loom shit and then send it off to get screen printed, the only way a hoodie is cool is if it represents a better product. anybody who wears this stuff will be laughed at. the only way i would wear this stuff is if they paid me to.

I understand that these guys keep newschoolers.com up and running but that doesnt mean that i need to like it.

As for Siver and Jibculture, these are representing 2 sick crews in skiing, so when you buy these brands your buying the skiers and their style.

I hope that the people who run this company see what i have to say, just like detective said, its constrtuctive criticism, and for this company to be succesful there gonna have to step it up and build some real shit. end of story.

Yeah jibtech is still shooting digital, Dave is shooting on a Cannon xl1, and some of the movie will be on super8 again. i know its easy to rip on digital, but digital is good for the sport, once more filmakers team up to make a video magazine on digi the sport will change drastically, Volume has attemted this, but its not as far as it can go. you will see change in the future, Film makes for the best quality of course, but digital can keep up with the progression of the sport much quicker than film, and it gives everyone a chance to show whats up. because, like i've said before there are many more people progressing the sport than just the kids who are in the spotlight.

yeah i don't know if its just me, but the logos are kind of stupid. a lot of them kind of look the same

Who's to say that they won't develop a crew. Remember SIver used to be a skiboarding company, that's a rough start if I've ever heard one. Logos can change too.

 
i think the graphics look good. At least you know what the company is for. Some one looks at you wearing a siver shirt and they think you got a misprinted quicksilver shirt. And saying it's cheap to do hoodies, thats not true at all, there are alot of costs involved and the risk that noone will buy your product, and making hats is real expensive too. so talking shit won't do ne1 any good. And how does the name sound gay? It's better than half the other shit out there.

A company's got to start somewhere. Whoever is running it is at least showing some ambition by trying it out. Hell, and if he pulls a profit maybe he can start running different products with better quality. Not everyone has ten grand or so to start up a company with. At very least he's helping the site, so I advise everyone to click on the link a couple thousand times so he keeps advertising ;). Hell, and if you buy some stuff then it helps out the site and the sport in a roundabout way.

I didn't really like the logos too much either, but they are a new company. Just give them a chance and then we should judge. Like said before IT helps the site.

Hey,

Thanks for the positive and not so positive feed back. My whole reasoning behind Danlu is to give skiers some thing to wear that is strait forward. Some thing that represents skiing, and what we love to do; to the general and not so general public. Hopefully when you see the clothing designs, it lets people know right off that your a skier, and I think alot of other companys have clean designs but there not specific enough in leting people know up front what they represent. Danlu is young, and like other folks said, if all goes well, I plan to create a deeper line in the future that will have some thing for every one.

I think you're missing the point... You shouldn't buy clothing to be like, or become one of the sponsored athletes. You should buy gear because you like the product and what it stands for, and you want to support the people who represent the company. It's not a matter of being an 'easy buyout' or a 'follower.' It's about being a supporter of what you stand for, and what benefits you... So, if a company makes stuff you like, and has ideas you like, why not support them?

Danlu is a brand new company. upstart. You can't tell me that Siver's first line looked good or anything. personally. I like it. It represents skiing, and lets people know yer a skier. I agree that Siver looks good, but for skiing support... no1 knows what it is.
