um. well dane cook was great. untill i grew up a bit, and before the whole universe knew him. my friend and i used to recite his lines everywhere we went and we would laugh everytime. but then other poeple would start sayin them and eventually everyone knew him and it got old. now ive realized how he really is not funny at all. all he does is make funny voices, and gett all psyched up and what not. read his jokes from a ppeice of paper. they arent funny anymore, its his vioce that makes him. i mean if you really enjoy comedy and know what really is funny dont listen to him. hes just not that great.

the first time i saw him on comedy central, he was telling the audience about bk and hsi brother being the king of burgers, and some lady and pickles, but i don think hes funny anymore

i never thought he was to funny because i had seen other comedians, but all my friends thought he was hilarious, so i decided i must be missing something, there must be a reason why he is so much more popular than other comedians. then i realized the chain reaction. step one, he is a mediocre stand up, step 2 he starts getting publicity and people start listening to him (still not that popular). step 3, he gets on MTV VMAs, says one joke next to snoop dog, and everyone has heard of him. step 4, people start quoting them, and most of them never hearing other stand ups, think he is the best of the best due to the fact that he is so popular, he must be good. he makes movies, money all of that stuff, with never being that funny

IN CONCLUSION: dane cook is the milli vanilli of comedy

He's only funny because of his presentation? ..Your point? Great comics aren't just great because they have funny jokes, delivery is just as important. It's the only reason I don't like Hedberg, he's a funny dude, but every joke he says is in that same voice, and it's all just a bunch of one-liners... can't stand it. And Cook's jokes are pretty funny, just not on the level of the greats, but as I said, his delivery more than makes up for it. One of my favorite comics, hands down.
