i dont know if you noticed....^^ but he stole half of those jokes, making the other comedian halarious, and dane cook a pussy
 
was the first voice even him, cause it kinda sounded like him, or was it just showing that he stole that one

yeah he prob did ... its still way funnier than that first guy... his voice was just annoying.

and its not like those jokes are rare I'm sure a lot of people out there say some of the same things...

how do you know the first guy didn't steal it from Dane? i would like to see some more proof just editing pieces from there stand ups isn't enough.

secondly, dane's better. half of what makes dane so freaking funny is his stage presence and the way he delivers things
 
word. That first guy just blows and he's not really entertaining to listen. Dane Cook is funny to listen to. who cares if he stole a few joke or two every comedian has done it

Have you seen the shit that has been going on with Carlos Mencia recently? How Joe Rogan called him out and it led to this huge 45 minute long argument on stage. Either way, Mencia is a total bitch who has been stealing jokes for years and they have a bunch of footage to show it. I guess everyone in comedy pretty much hates him, which seems logicaly as he is one of the worst comedians in the entire world. Search around for it. The video is hilarious.
 
every comedian does it, but it just sucks when they do it over and over and over. That short clip is not the only example out there.
 
I figured it had been. I had always hated Carlos Mencia, though Rogan was just ok, but after that I gained a lot of respect for him. Mencia is being a total bitch about it still. It was fucking hilarious though
 
I like Rogan he hosts UFC and I love UFC. That and he's a total badass for almost getting in a fist fight on fear factor.
 
well you can look at it two ways. the first. what a faggot stealing piece of shit they suck. or two. people can look at it as taking some material and putting their own twist on it which is just as creative.

if its word for word tone for tone than its gay but who really cares if someone is putting their own style to something some people can pull some jokes off better than others
 
Delivery is everything. Dane Cook has one of the best deliveries out there. Some people can say anything and make it sound funny. If dane wants to use a few other jokes from other comedians and put his little twist on them thats cool. I think his delievery was twice as funny anyways. And that little clip comparing cook to the other comedians has what? 3, 30 second jokes on it? I thought it was going to lay out the whole retaliation CD or something. Dane has hundreds of jokes, and he spun off 3 from other dudes. Big fucking deal.

Who's to tell him he can't tell a joke about an itchy asshole? "Whoa dane! Hold up one minute. This dude used an asshole joke 4 months ago. You're not allowed." Itchy assholes are funny. Especially when somebody describes it in detail and stresses the "H" in assHole.

While we're at it. What about bands sounding like other bands? Or what about everyone copying gorilla steeze in the park? They're pussies too.

 
It really sounds like the first guy is just trying to tell dane cook jokes. He has terrible delivery. He doesn't get excited like dane does. If dane stole the material thats shitty, but he still has a killer delivery which I think is really the best part of his act.
 
The point is that he stole a joke from someone else. Stealing just one joke is enough to end someone's career. Plus is is just from one comic so who knows how many others he has stolen. That's like saying plageurism is alright if you only do it a few times. Try it at college in a research paper, trust me they have the same mentality as you, I promise. You have no idea how bad it is to steal someone else's work whether or not he did it unintentionally (which I highly doubt).
 
uhmm when you say a joke, arent you technically stealing it from the person who told you? I mean who here comes up with all their own jokes. Everyday people tell jokes theyve heard from other places.
 
They are comedians, comedians make up their own routines. It's not that difficult to make up your own routine comedy is endless.
 
think of it from other comedians perspecitves, though. They write jokes for a living. That is what they do. If someone steal a joke and use it in a perfomance, then it is just like stealing a piece of music or writing or part from a movie, etc. I think because of the profession in question here, people don't take this super seriously. But if I were a comedian, and I had worked hard for my material, I would be fucking angry as hell if I was watching comedy central and saw dane cook copying it.
 
It is how they got successful. If you worked your ass off to get somewhere, then someone cheats their way easily to your spot or higher, you would be rip shit. This is the same thing as that fat fuck Carlos Mencia.
 
i dont really like dane but if he puts a twist on jokes it can be ok, but those were pretty blatant. i dunno im more into intelligent humor i guess, like lewis black is fucking hilarious.
 
thats sad, i loved Dane. but SOOO many comedians have done jokes about naming their kids funny names. SOOOOOOOOOOOO many. I dont watch that much stand up, and ive seen at least 3 comedians do it, not including the two in this clip.

but the other stuff it does kind of sound like he stole it.
 
hahaha oh man that was brutal. and i think dane cook is hilarious, but i recognize its all about delivery for him and the content of the jokes is pretty unoriginal
 
i dont care what you all say, dane cook most likely wrote all his shit the other guy obviously stole that shit... dane cook has been doing comedy since he was in highschool.. watch tourgasm if you want to know about it.. so i think you should know all the facts.. before you fly off the handle
 
that was fuckin classic, he straight owns mencia sooo bad, i hated him before now i hate him even more.
 
the basic story is the same, but its not the story that is funny, its the way you tell it. A comedian isnt original based on the story, because there are only about 20 different things comedians comment on, its based on their style.
 
^agreed. And, its not like Dane was Paris Hiltons brother who decided to do comedy and stole some jokes and used his fame to easily climb to the top. Dane did plenty of "working his way up" and "putting in his dues" just like every other comedian. the reason dane became famous is because he made people laugh, he's likeable, hilarious and good at what he does.

If this other guy were likeable, hilarious, and good at what he does. He'd be as big as Dane Cook too, and then we'd be accusing Dane of stealing his jokes.

I know of plenty of people who can think of really good material but they cant deliver it. why do you think they have writers for sitcoms? If theres lots of good material out there that people are coming up with, and no one is hearing it because they are amateur comedians who suck and no one goes to see them. well then, what a waste of humor.

^im just talking in a general sense about comedians jacking comedy. Talking specifically about Dane..i dont think he did steal them.
 
i disagree. have you ever tried to write jokes? its fucking impossible to come up with the type of shit these comedians say. its easy to add a little flare to someone elses already hard work of coming up with the idea/ funny observation. If you steal jokes i think you're skipping the hard stuff. you just add your own style to something that belongs to someone else. Louis CK is great Dane Cook sucks.
 
yeah, writing jokes isnt that hard. think about why people are so funny on msn, but not as funny in person. because on msn, you can picture it however you want it and however you want it timed. lots of funny stuff is ruined by some kid forgetting what the hell he's talking about.

Also, I have to give dues to the kid above, who brought up sitcom writers.

I mean, if Dane and this other guy are saying the same shit, why haven't I ever heard of this other asshole? Its delivery and a combination of new information, different storyline and twist on the story that people like.

 
he is an awesome story teller and rpesenter of jokes. he does repeat things too often and drag things out a lot. hilarious dude though,.
