I've been growing out my hair for the last 10 months-ish and now I have hella dandruff. It's never been a problem for me before and it's really fucking annoying. And before any of you ask yes I shower and yes I was my hair. Any advice to get rid of it is much appreciated.

Don't wash with shampoo every day. Gotta keep some of the natural oils in their so the skin doesn't get flakey. You can rinse your hair just don't wash it

I learned this from Jeremy Wade. Truth

100% this. Just comb with a fine comb and rinse it when you shower. A fine boars hair comb will help pull some oil off and properly distribute it through your hair. It wont even look greasy

I don't normally shampoo every day. It's more like every other unless I sweat a particularly large amount that day.

Thanks I'll check out the boar hair comb

Neutrogena T-Gel will clear it up in a few applications ten following some of the guidelines others have suggested to maintain dandruff free ideally.

When my hair was long, I usually would wash it 2-3 times a week. Other than that just water works fine daily. Everyone is different but generally, that works. My skin was always way flakier when I was using head and shoulders

I always had dry scalp growing up. I learned something from my barber a few years ago. Apparently, dry skin flakes aren't the same thing as dandruff. Dandruff is actually excess oil in your hair. If you have dry scalp, dandruff shampoo like head and shoulders will only make it worse. Use a moisturizing shampoo if you have dry skin and it'll help a ton
