Dance music

Infinity 2008 by Guru Josh Project

Exceeder (perfect) by Mason and Princess Star

Raver's Fantasy by TUNE UP!

Let me think about it by Ida Corr vs. Fedde Le Grand

Subscribe to Tiesto's club life podcast on iTunes, free techno-electronic music. it's good shit to have handy for parties.

In search of sunrise and summerbreeze are two of my most favorite Tiesto mixes.

Try listening to c89.5 for a while, its a local dance station in Seattle thats been growing in popularity across the country from their stream:

GIRL TALK i promise you'll find nothing better. Look them up and download their shit. its lyrics from good songs mixed with different songs' beats. its so sick and awesome to party too. Also, the MIA album is good as well.

But yeah, look up the artist Girl Talk, party to that shit and you won't regret it

What kind of dance?

If you want stuff like a school dance, then I suggest every shitty mainstream song you can find.

If you want some crazy awesome techno/trance, then I suggest Dimrain47.

The only bad thing about Dimrain47 is that the only place I know of to hear their music is myspace, so if you don't mind going there, I suggest listening to them.

i don't no much techno other then infected mushroom and lords of acid

but good dancing music in my eyes is the doors, jimi hendrix, grateful dead, pink floyd, the who, led zepplin

If he says "techno-ish" prolly means hes going for mainstream.. Thats my biggest pet peeve, Most of the time when people call music "Techno" its prolly house, or super mainstream 90s trance. Alot of music thats mainstream and considered "techno" is House, or electro house.

/rant

Also my top list of house/electro/tech house producers right now go like this

Deadmau5 (mainstream but pretty good)

BSOD (yea its deadmau5 and steve duda)

EDX

Mason

Fake blood

Wolfgang gartner

Slyde

Crookers

Chris Lake

Robag Wruhme

and alot more

By mainstream I meant stuff that you hear on the radio, like Soulja Boy. I see how you took that out of context though. I should word stuff better.

Actually i love the Wideboyz remix of Yahh haha

But yeah sorry, my idea of mainstream is a bit skewed since I dont listen to real music haha

I know its not completey trance/techno but africa bambaata has some decent stuff like searching for the perfect beat and feel the vibe

Yves La Rock- Rise Up
Fedde le Grand-Put your hands up for detroit
David Guetta- Love is Gona

or just choose any top 40 song and the words "house remix" to it and search on youtube...

buy Daft Punk - Alive 2007 and just play the entire album at a party. throw in some Justice, LCD Soundsystem, Simian Mobile Disco, and some (good)hip-hop, and people will be talking about your party for months. guaranteed.

Any kind of catchy rap that is on the radio. Sure its shitty ass music, but the beat and popularity usually gets dumb girls and tool bros to start dancing which in turn gets everyone else to dance. The key isn't to play songs that you personally like to listen to, its what other people want to listen to.

Ferry Corsten is my favorite dj. He has some awesome stuff.
Paul Van Dyk. I saw him live at Pier 54. It was mindblowing.
Jeff Mills. He's got some hardcore sit. Saw him live in Tresor Berlin. That was a trip.
Pete Tong. He makes some of the best mixes out there.
