Dan Schneider let go by Nickelodeon Amid Some VERY Shocking Rumors and Allegations

So this dude was the creator and producer for Drake & Josh, iCarly, Key and Peele, the Amanda Bynes Show, and a few other hit Nickelodeon shows. It was announced yesterday that Nickelodeon failed to renew his contract and allegedly paid him out $7 million. Some of the most damming rumors include child stars as big as Amanda Bynes (this is beginning to make sense now..), Jamie Lynn Spears (yup, remember when she got pregnant and wouldn't release the name of the father?), and Arianna Grande. While everything is still conjecture based at this time, this could turn out to be Hollywood's most egregious scandal ever, far surpassing Weinstein in scope and repugnance.

Much of the mainstream media has yet to report on his allegations, which supposedly have been floating around for nearly a decade. His departure from Nickelodeon is especially suspicious. Until yesterday, Schneider was the producer of two hit Nickelodeon shows and was given a lifetime achievement award by the company just four years ago.

I'll leave it at that for now. Surprisingly there is little content floating around, even on Reddit. I wish NSG was more active these days, but NS is basically the only online forum I regularly post in so here we are.
 
I'm not saying it did or did not happen, but it seems we currently live in a world where you can accuse somebody of sexual misconduct and have it taken as true regardless of what actually happened. If they accuse him of that they're going to ruin his life whether it happened or not. I mean, if he did do something wrong then fine, but, if not then that's whack.
 
No shit dude. However, keep this in mind: of all the individuals who have been named recently, every single has turned out to be a scumbag indeed. This type of shit doesn't just drop on you out of mid-air. At the very least, we can objectively say that the dude is a creep. Creep + really creepy rumors = something that should be looked into.

His career isn't "over". In fact, not a single major news source has even mentioned any allegations. It's still in its preliminary stages but I don't see how nothing will come out. There's been buzz around this dude for years, and now he was dropped by Nickelodeon seemingly out of the blue?

I'm as much of a proponent of a fair trial as the next guy, but all this talk about how "we live in a world" where anyone can claim anything is blatantly misguided. There's too much fishy shit here to say it doesn't warrant some sort of probing... the reason that no proof has been released about Schneider is because victims of child sex abuse have no incentive to relive the trauma. They signed NDA's years ago and never want to look back. Again, at this point all evidence points ONE way and it is up to journalists to uncover the truth. I haven't seen a single one of these probes turn up empty handed. So unless you can show me a Hollywood star that recently had his career ruined over false allegations, your post was pretty useless
