damon is the biggest sell out. he said back in may that he would never go to the yankees because it wouldnt be right to do to boston and the fans. his arm is done anyways

well we (all sox fans) would prolly feel different if he didnt go to our divisional rival, the damn yankees...plus he took the deal based on money. why cant more players be like brady? take a pay cut to make the team better
 
wow i mean i know baseball is all politics and im not even a redsox fan but god damn damon has got to be this biggest sell out in the past few years of baseball. sox fans adored him and he was such a key player. now hes off to the yankees. any other team wouldnt have been such a huge deal but he had to go and pick the team most hated by all of boston. what a bitch.
 
Yeah I can't believe Damon for being such a sell out you know, taking all that money so that his family could be provided for many generations. Since he loves baseball so much and the Red Sox, he should of just played for free...

Sure, he took the money deal, but why would he want to play on a team that's disinegrated? They aren't the same team he won the series with.
 
we still have 11 players coming back from last year. the only player we lost that was good was bill mueller. renteria sucked and mirabelli didnt play enought to make a huge difference and menkawitz wont give back the ball form the world series...what a bum.
 
How would you know what his expenses are? What if he likes to fly private jets once a week and needs money to afford it? Don't forget in all sports business matter overpowers the "right" choice.
 
well if he was taking more money for his family and his future generations, i dont think hes going to be blowing through $52 million and going on private jets once a week......if he does, he still has money from previous contracts. which is still more than he needs.

i doubt that yankee fans would say that damon sucks, especially since he had 2 home runs and 6RBI in the last game of the ALCS when the sox won the world series. also, i am pissed about it but he took a deal that paid him 12 million dollars more, i would like to meet someone on here that would turn down 12 million more dollars to play a game that you have fun doing. also, to the guy who said 40million more to spend on pitching, the sox dont need any more starters, they only need relievers and a shortstop and a center fielder.
 
it's true, alot of the guys in my school all thought damon sucked, probably cause of how good he did against teams, i don't think anything for that is a reasonable answer, im just sayin' it's annoying to hear it.
 
so what if damon's on the yanks, the sox will still b good. he completely underperformed last year anyway, and it just goes to show u he's an asshole taking an extra 8M to play for the sox's rivals
