Damn ski shop

so i just had my skis waxed for camp, first off, it took them 2days longer then it was supposed to. So then i went in there at about 3 and they hadnt done them and he said give him a half an hour so i came back they were there, so i took them home and looked at them, there were huge beads of wax all over my edges were covered in wax, theres wax on my topsheet, theres even wax in my damn bindings, anyone no a good way to get it all off instead of scraping it?

Just ski them if you don't want to scrape. It's fine after a few runs. The head tuner at my old shop never scraped his skis because he was lazy. Take your skis to a better shop next time. In fact, take your skis back and tell them to finish the job. Wax IN your bindings? That's not good.

first learn to do them urself its really easy its takes a while but try it

errr why don't you scrape it off? that's how the shop or anyone else would have taken it off, becuase that's what you do when you wax skis. Unless of course leaving it on is your little way of sticking it to the man, in which case rock on.

learn how to do it yourself with a little practice you can do better than a shop....how? because you care about your skis unlike the asshole at the shop who drops your skis 5 times and dosen't give a shit what they look like

i hate my ski shop to they lost my pes for 2 weeks when i went to vail

if the ski shop people arnt buisy where i work, you can walk in and walk out with your skiis waxed in about 10 min. we have this machine we use, and unsted of putting new wax on your skiis (unless of course u really need it), it heats up your old wax and recycles it by smoothing it out for you.

yeah, the shop u went to sux and dosnt know how to wax ur skiis, youd be better off gettho waxing them urself

machine waxes take 30 seconds, and they BLOW.

you can do a good hand wax in under 10 minutes. scraping and all.

Well that isn't really very good, because when you wax your skis well, you remove as much of the old wax as you possibly can. Waxing machines dont really do anything.

Machine wax sucks donkey balls unless your plowing through a demo or rental fleet. They're good for that.

sounds like a sketch shop. at the shop i used to work at, we hand waxed ever pair, scraped the wax, brushed it in, and took the wax off the edges. thats a legit wax. if your shop doesnt know how to do a wax...think of a mount!

waxing your skis is extremly easy, i would never pay for my skis to be waxed.
