Damn police took all my money

So like the rest of you guys ive been working and saving up this summer so i could blow all my money on some sweet new skis. Until today when my wonderful dreams of riding down the slopes in a nice new pair of skis were crushed, yes i know its tragic. First me being a complete idiot quit my job cause my managers a bitch, then feeling super duper awesome, i decided to take a trip to the gym and get ready for the awesomness that next season is going to be. BBuut on the way there i got pulled over going 70 in a 45, yea gay. Well apperantly the nice policeman was not looking to do me any favors and gave me a great big ticket dripping with i want your money juice, a nice 350 dollar ticket.

So my mom decided that she should take my car away for the week of my summer that is left. And my dreams of sliding down the hill in some nice powder skis is crushed.

This is my first internet rant, so take it easy on me.

should have asked for a court date

if you get lucky, you they might drop all charges or take a chunk off the tix

if the cop that tixed you doesn't show to the court date, the tix is void and you pay nada

since your car is gone, you won't be doing much this week anyways.
 
oooo ouch guys, I dont recall saying it was anyones fault by mine. And it was in the middle of nowhere so i wasnt really expecting any cops, but then again they can be sneaky. Plus i dont usually speed much but i was driving a huge truck and going down a hill and i dont like to ride my brakes much.
 
to be honest with you, show up to court and attempt to appeal it. 8 times outta 10 the cop won't show up. Also, more often than not, the judge will knock down the price of the ticket knowing that you made the effort and cared to show up and try to fight it. It's worth a shot and doesn't cost anything more other than a little time.
 
Nice job not doing the speed limit. Maybe if you had used your judgement a bit better and slowed down you wouldn't have been pulled over and been given a $350 ticket. Its not the cops fault for doing his job, its your fault for being too stupid to not do the speed limit. Your lucky your mom only took away your car for a week.
 
fuck the haters man...he's prolly a good ol' 17-18 year old who has a need for speed like me...i mean it doesnt make you a bad driver if you go over the speed limit, you just gotta no where to do it and make sure you're not endangering anyone else...i guess go to the court date thing...if he doesnt show (may or maynot happen) then you're home free...again fuck the haters
 
you need to talk to my friend, we were going to lunch and we were doing 80 in a 35. i was like wat the fuck dude. but he has police scanner so he never gets tickets.
 
I know the feeling. I just got a 200 dollar ticket for "carless driving" because a cop sped by me while i was changing lanes, with his headlights off, at 9:30 at night, on a stretch of highway with no lights

I still should have checked my blindspot but still, i was pissed and there goes my chance of having enough for a pair of JJ's by december

What kinda skis was 350 gonna get u? and umm 350 is kinda small the cops took 2000 from my friend cause they said it was drug money. he was on his way to by a dirt bike. and all they found in the car was a stem.
 
yea i feel ya bro. but like erryone said. appeal that shit. losing the car for a week isn't half as shitty as not getting new pow skis. appeal the ticket and hopefully that'll work for ya. best of luck man.
 
ehhh, I wasn't really directing the comment at him. He doesn't seem very sad or emotional either. Just a jerk, but in a weenie sort of way. Like you wouldn't really care if he was talking shit, it would just be annoying
 
i have no sympathy, the cops came into my house and took $2000 from me, really fucking up my plans for the season, FUCK THE POLICE
 
explain to me again how the police took your money???? its your own dumbass problem that you were doing a rediculous speed. i used to blame the police now that im older and dont speed i know that it was my fault.

i got an audi a6 and its built to go fast, so i would drive it fast. i lost my licence, got 1500 dollars in speeding tickets, and hated the police. i still have an a6, havent sped or gotten a ticket for 2 years and well the police have been nowhere near my bank account.
 
70 in a 45 is just asking for it. Hell, you're lucky that your ticket was as little as it was.

$350 for going 25 over the limit isnt that bad. My buddy got fined $800 because he was coasting his dirtbike down a hill on the dirt shoulder of a road. The cop made him push the bike alllll the way back up the hill while he cruised slowly behing, then dropped the fine. Some cops can be real pricks, but if your break the law, youre asking for it.
 
Hey just buy a car that you cant get a ticket with...

I bought a land rover disco and now instead of spending money on speeding tickets I get to spend it fixing the leaky ass cooling system :)

Go get another job at a ski shop and tell us about how awesome pro deals are, and about how proud your mom is of you for being "such a grownup"
