Is anyone else fromt he east coast getting royally fucked over by the gas price? its at like 79.9 tonight. when the power was out right after it was a buck.. people who inflate their prices like that should go to hell. they know everyone's in a bind so they take advantage of us.. i need gas so badly right now. but im trying to hold off. hoping for it to drop really quick.. such a piss off

FUCK YOU! Gas here is like $1.79. It's fucking stupid. It costs $40 to fill up my damn tank, and that only lasts me a couple of days. GRRRRRRRRR I hate living in Alaska. It's rediculous!

Try Chicago gas prices where it is $1.89 everywhere. I saw on the news its like $2.12 on in Los Angelos. Fuck OPEC

79.9 means that the gas companies or whomever charge 79 and nine-tenths of a cent for gas instead of 80. It makes it seem cheaper. Haven't you ever looked at the signs and seen the big (for example) 79, and then the little 9 in the top right corner. Yep, there you go. Screw gas, I want a water powered truck... or plastic or something. At least that would be a good way to get rid of plastic since it's not decomposable and most people don't take the time to recycle.

you stupid americans. 79.9 is canadian and its per litre. there is nowhere in the states that has gas for less than a dollar per gallon. for fucks sake think about it.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

ya i was going ot say, its per gallon in the states, and litre in canada, and 80 cents is really high per l itre, and you were complaining that it cost 40$ to fill up a tank of gas? tahst not that bad...

it's 2.17 here... that's $25 for 11 gallons... and I went camping this weekend and saw 2.25/gallon, so if some of you east coasters want to ship your 1.79 gas to the west coast, we'd really appreciate it

 
it's over 2 bucks for the cheapest gas here...sucks...washington state has the most expensive gas in the US...costs sooooo much to fill up the cars

hahahaha you think you have it bad elasmo.....damn down here in oregon we pay it up the butt...its freakin 1.95-2.00 for reg gas....f*ckin costs me 30 bucks to fill half my tank.....i thought the oil just leaked out of the ground in alaska......

i hate how single moms driving a friggin Ford Expedition complain about how much it costs to fill their tank. maybe they should realize gettin 9 miles to the gallon makes it more expensive, and they dont need cars the size of small airplanes to go to the supermarket.

 
PRECISELY! Now you see why it pisses me off so much... They're always drilling for more and more oil, and there's the whole drilling up on the Artic National Wildlife Refuge dispute with Bush and whatnot... You'd think we'd have it cheapest or at least cheaper than most places up here, but nope! I mean, yeah, you guys have it more expensive but you'd think we'd have it cheaper here. Oh well, at least we get a $1,500 to $2,000 check every year just to live up here.

Yep... It's called the Permanent Fund Dividend. It got up to $1900 something once, but now it's down to like $1500 a year. It's nice. We get one big fat check, and all of the stores have sales and shit. Yay! Alaska is also one of (if not THE) most expensive states to live in, though.

before you get all excited about hydrogen cars: the cheapest way by far to make hydrogen is from natural gas. so even if you have a hdrogen car, you are still at the mercy of gas prices, furthermore, the hydrogen production is an additional process on top of refining the natty gas, so in the end hydrogen costs 3 times what gasoline does. it'll be at least 30 years before hydrogen begins to become practical. ya jews.

In Montreal, its going to start making sense to drive down to the states to fill up. My heart goes out to you suffering that price. Its an especially brutal price to deal with in a 02 ranger with a 4.0 that gets 16mpgs

To be fair, the 2.80 is for shit 85 gas, seen alot of 2.99 around slc too near the freeway, were gonna break 3 pretty soon for sure. CA gas is insane, I purposefully fill up at the NV boarder when i drive to mammoth so I can make it back to NV on my way home and don't have to get gas in mammoth.

Looking at $4/gal here in the bay area, we'll see $5 around memorial day I bet. It is what it is though right? I try to drive as little as I can but sometimes one has to drive to the mountains.
