ok, yesterday was my first day skiing this year, and i was doing some 3's. I was doing them super good, except i was drifting sooooooooooooo much to the right. Like way to much. I spin to my left. I just wanna know, how do you prevent drifting? if u guys have any techniques or tips or something post um up. thanks

you spin to the left but were drifting to the right? maybe carve a little more left off the lip.

i dunno, i'd guess everyone does it differently. i like to spin by carving if i'm doing a 3 or 5 instead of using my arms cuz i like how it looks

try to be pointed exactly where you want to go when you take off and dont initiate the hardest part of your sipn until your in mid air

make sure your in an aggressive alpine skiing position on takeoff and dont jerk your junk around

I had this problem last year like really badly i'd almost miss the landings cuz i drifted so much and i almost hit my coach who was standing on the side of the deck it might just be the jump like this jump was really narrow and the kicker was on the left side so i guess that i was always worried just make sure u keep ur weight centered and don't spin to early another thing that i found to work is try a different grab cuz it'll move ur body the right way

yea you gotta pop off the jump and then spin, don't butter or start to spin while on the lip

sound like your body weight is not centered, and maybe this is causing your carve to be too aggressive and forcing you to one side. do you carve in on a right hand turn and then spin left? because this could casue a drift like that, keep at it and you will find your sweet spot as the season progresses.

Rex taught me the secret for regular spinning. pop and throw your shoulder into it. like if you spin left throw your right shoulder forward. youll be on axis and spinning straight really easily

i was thinking something similar.

perhaps you're putting too much pressure on one foot/ski (probably the left) it can cause you to push as you take off.

also what might work is work on taking off very smooth. without being there it is hard to tell what could be wrong, but if you pop/spin really fast, you can drift (if you do a lot of trampolining, you definitely have to work on this otherwise you die). i had a problem with drifiting when i would spin onto rails, and so i had to compensate to go straight. so i would agree with most that perhaps you should carve in a little bit to prevent that drift.

some acual good advice: sometimes you can just have an off day spinning and you will be right back on axis the next day
