damn binding weigh more than the skis

Ok, I was warned not to get the Reactor 2 binding. I just received my Chronics today and the binding weighs more than the ski. The 157 chronic is 1484 grams and the Reactor 12 binding is 1764 grams... each. So I was hoping that after I get yelled at someone can tell me the weight of the other bindings out there. Like the Look, Rossi, and Salomon. I am hoping to find a binding that weighs around 1200 grams.

 
I believe p12s are 1450 grams.

dont say anything until you ski the reactors. they feel like nothing when your skiing them because all the weight is right under your foot.

I understand the swing weight. I was more concerned with the extra weight when ollie'ing or just getting air in the pipe. My 1080's weight 4 lbs each with the bindings and my Pocket Rockets weight 5bs with the bindings. Of course both of those are using the Salomon Ti's. The chronics are 7.25lbs with the R12's. To me it sounded like a big difference.

some kid at my mountain broke his 3 times and another kid broke 12 different pairs of line bindings i have the 10's and they feel mad heavy but everyones right they dont feel much different in the air and crap

when your reactors explode, get look p12s or rossi 100s or 140s. they are much more durable, and weigh about 2/3 of the weight of the reactor

skier150...you are a dumb shit. you buy reactors but order p12s as backup?? for 1 you are a rich fucker. secondly, why would you need backups. if you break the reactors its called a warranty dipshit, USE IT

Yeah, it's called a job... lets me buy all kinds of cool stuff. I got the Reactors because I got a good deal. I figured if I hated them I could just unscrew them and sell them on Ebay for more than I paid. I also got a killer deal on the P12's, that if I do not use I can sell on Ebay for twice the price. If I break the Reactor I will get it warranteed and then immediately sell it. I also get ProForm, so I pay loke half price for most of my equiptemt.

I am not selling them yet. I was only on them for a couple of hours yesterday and did not really get into the park yet. They are definately pretty tech though. I was also told by Line and a few dealers that the Reactors that were blowing up were from the first manufacturing run. I was told that mine are not from that run and should be OK... of course they could be full of shit too.

i like my reactors on chronics. granted i have the old, indestructible ones from 2 years ago, but still......

reactors weigh in about 1750-1800 grams apiece. salomon s912ti's are roughly 900 per ski. (this is the one binding, not the full pair)

reactors suck a$$ dont get them. My first pair i ripped the break off and the binding would move to diffrent sizes so i ended up missing half a day at mt. snow. My second pair of reactors got 3 runs through el diablo at mount snow and the heel piece broke completly off my ski. GET LOOK P10 or P12's there way better and cheaper!

 
I tried to butter off my tips on the flat this morning and ejected out of my left binding. I hope this is not going to be a familiar scenario.

you should raise your DIN on the line bindings 2 more than what the line DIN chart says.

^dude that is definitely going to be a familiar scenario. i seriously feel sorry for ANYONE who boucht reactors. i will never put a pair of those on my feet again. i used a pair for ONE day and they were the shittiest, least trustworthy pair of bindings i have ever used. get rid of those things asap

im with u EC i brought mine to ski market and there putting on look p10's cant wait were getting almost 2ft of snow 2night and im skiing tuesday i cant wait. I might try and go do some urban

 
Your right, my boot weights 4.5lbs. Geez that means I have like 25lbs on my feet.... no wonder I can't get the hell off the ground.
