I just bought Welcome To Jamrock and its a dope CD. His songs are all so good yet quite different and all have a cool flow. Anyone else listen to him?
 
So sick. I highly recomend getting high with some dank herb and listening to that cd without any interuptions. It's worth the time it takes. If you like welcome to jamrock, check out Halfway tree, his previous cd. I like the flow a little bit better. Speaking of him, I got tickets to his SLC concert in a couple weeks here.
 
I think that Halfway tree is probably a better album. There are some good songs on Welcome to Jamrock... my favorites are Confrontation, Welcome to Jamrock (the beat is taken from the Anthony B song "World A Reggae Music") and Khaki Suit. II loooveee the song Khaki suit.

I can't stand "for the babies" or "hey girl"

Check out Halfway tree. Better lyrics, more consistant beats IMO
 
dmain marley is a god. i have welcome to jamrock too, and at the moment it is my favourit album.

he is soooo much better as his dad
 
They make competely different music. You can't compare them, that's all personal preference.

You will make a lot of enemies saying that.
 
^You are right it is personal preferance, but Damein is in no way as influential or well known as his dad, and most likely never will be. Bob is one of the most known names in the world for music.
 
I used to like him a lot, and I still like some songs but he jsut doesnt compare to other dancehall artists and if you've ever read "An open Letter to Bob Marley" you'd see he hasnt really carried on Bob's message and goals
 
yeh you cant say that jr. gong makes better shit than his dad...he might not even be in the music industry if it wasnt for his father.

jr.gong is more like gangster shit about the hood and shit. Bob was more about like happy things and being with family...both are amazing artists...

Jr.gong it the shit. in welcome to jamrock the song...he says "like my man chuck norris"...give or take a few words. (he spells it in potwa)

He's actually saying how Dumbass tourists come to Jamaica and "pose like dem name Chuck Norris" and don't know whats up in Kingston
