Damaged helmets.

I know you should replace your helmet when it gets damaged.

Anyone got any tips? Here's a pic on how it looks like right now:

Another hit to the head and I guess it might break?

I crashed earlier tonight, and hit my head on my skis, and then to a pointy rock. It saved my life I suppose

I'm having a pretty bad headache now, so I'm gonna go to the doctor in the morning.

Is that a crack or a scratch? If its a crack, then deffenitly replace it. Same with if you hit your head hard enough to have to go see a doctor...

The hole is like 2 mm deep. And it goes behind the paint, and into that black plastic thingie. I have no clue what it's made of.

It's a scratch, it's not deep at all. But I'm most worried about the hole.

After beating my head like this, I don't really want to do it again without an helmet that can hold

If your worried at all, then just take the safe route and get a new one anyways... Better safe then dead.

yea man you shouldnt take a chance. if you are gonna replace it anyways you might as well just do it now. if you slide out or something and hit ur head on ice, or a pointy rock, that crack might give and you could get fucked up.

i would highly recommend getting a new one, the companies usually suggest it after a hard hit. also at the shop i used to work at, we would do a crash replacement discount, so if u brought in ur crash on and bought a new one wed take 25 or so % off. pretty good deal, see if a shop around u does it.
