I threw together this edit of dale after filming with him for few days in the Mt. Hood public park. Check it out and let me know what you guys think, here it is...

It was really good, there were a couple long shots where he blended in with the dark rocks in the background, but other than that I really liked the edit as a whole. Great job!

I liked it alot! You could have zoomed in on some of the shots though when you were shooting or with key framing, I hate when the skier is super tiny in the frame.

dope! i really liked that.

i think you should have tried to mix in more real time footage as well as some sound design.

also, the blacks were really crushed. if you bring out more detail in the lows the shots will look less harsh and will be easier to watch

I'm digging dale's new diggs looking fresh, almost as fresh as that edit, job well done! i love edits of dale

My main concern is your blacks are extremely crushed, the dark outerwear is blending with mountains, rocks and dirt and almost the sky. Don't crush them blacks so much, other than that, looked good.

Very sick! Watch out for overdoing the crush of your blacks. Also I wasn't a fan of everything being at 50% speed. Next time, try and mix up where you follow from (I got bored after the first minute). Other than that, good shit.

what's your setup? Also when you slow your clips down to what percent slowed are they?

I really enjoyed this! It was really chilled out.

Only thing I have to say is and I shouldn't be the one to say this but it was really slow, maybe speed the shots up a bit, but that is all.

The edit was straight nasty, filming was good editing was amazing the song fit the flow and Dale is literally one of the most stylish skiers in the business.

thanks for the critique will, i appreciate it i didn't intend to crush my blacks so much or blow out any details. but in the original footage, dale really disappeared into the background a lot so i was tying to fight that.

i also really like being able to see that scenic mt.hood backdrop and a lot of the shots didnt originally hold much of that detail.

and i was torn between using realtime shots vs. all slow but i just didnt like the way it flowed when i added realtime shots so i kept them conformed

Really sick for sure! The only things I will say, are the blacks, which has been pointed out. and Also I really didnt feel the shot where you followed up until the lip of the jump and then stopped. It was used alot and I just really dont like that perspective much for some reason. To each their own I suppose. Overall awesome though!

I believe asking for a critique entitles one to be critical? I dont feel I was rude the slightest bit so whats with the hostility?

Sams edits are sick. always have though that. I myself would be dissappointed if I posted in M&A and got no feedback. Thats all I was doin
