Dalbello Vs Full Tilt

Hi, Guys I am new on the site and I need some advice from you. I want to buy a pair of new ski boots and I want to make a choice between Dalbello and Full Tilt. I think I will but K2 kung fujas or Line blend or chronics next session. I am looking for all mountain ski boots that will be good to use about 40-50% groomers , 40-50% powder and about 20 or maybe 30% park. I think about Dalbello Krypton cross & cross I.D. , Dalbello Krypton Pro & pro I.D. and Full Tilt High five , Full Tilt First chair. I've got wide foot and I am not a very good off

sorry, I could not finish writing. I am not very good off-piste skier just affectionate. What do you think will be the best choice for me?, why? I am also interested in what do you think about my ski choice? Thanks in advance.

Boot fit is much more important than what the boot design is. Full tilt's have a thin last and you say you have wide feet so they probably won't fit you. SPK boots are good for wide feet though.

Well, im going to buy krypton pro id next season, i try them and they are better then all of the other listed. They fit my feet very well. Jist try them, if they all fit you, i would suggest you the krypton pro id. Dalbello > full tilt imo

Thanks, but have you got any experience with cross I.D. I almost decided Dalbello's and now i have to choose between this two. what do you think about their possibilities. which one would be the best for what I look for?

Well, i donr have any experience whit the cross, but i try the pro id and it was by far the best boot i skied. The krypton pro will be perfect for you imo. Stiff but you have 2 tongue ( medium and stiff). Go on the dalbello site.

I can tell u for sure that if u have a wide foot, nothing that is 98mm in the toe box is gonna fit u. Both full tilt first chair and krypotn series being 98mm. Add an intuition liner, and the boot effectively fits like a wc race boot, 95-96mm ish. Try the boots on before u buy them. If u really have a wide foot, the majority of people I get in the shop that say they have a wide foot are about average d or possible e width, ur gonna be wasting money buying either of these.

Thank you guys all for some advice. I just want to know if any of you is the owner of a pair. I know that the quality of both is good, but I've read that full tilts have problems with tongue. at last which one do you recommend? not model but the brand.

I was in the same position as you and ended up with dalbellos. I thought I had a sort of wide foot, but I guess not. I do however, have a low volume foot which seem to fit very well in dalbello boots. I was between the TWall hotdogger, Booter, Rampage, Il moro, and krypton kross.
hot dogger: It fit the bottom of my foot and I loved the way it flexed. seemed like the good choiceBooter, bit sloppy since it was too wide for me, felt kind of similar to the hot dogger.
then I tried dalbello
rampage: i don't know what it is, but I liked it better than the full tilts, it was a little soft for me so I tried il morosIl moro: These were perfect, my foot was practically immobile, the flex was good, my heel was locked in, the movements felt nice. was set on these at that point. Kross: felt tighter than the il moro, If i were going to get a different boot than the il moro, I would get this. the slap ratchet on the il moro made the top fit around my shin better.
I went with il moros in the end. try both on in the same day i'd say.

Oh and from what I can tell, the dalbello shell is a little thicker. Also, it comes with loads of adjustable options, canting, spoilers, two different tongues, couple other things. at least, the il moro did, can't speak for the other boots.

I have dalbellos and I love them. But seriously kid. Get a pair of boots that will fit your wide feet. Yes Dalbellos are awesome, but they are only good if they fit your feet. So go to a shop and try on a bunch of them.

thank you so much. the advices are useful. I will fit both and decide at last. By the way, not to make another post what do you think about my ski choice-I mean Kung Fujas. I think about Volkl Bridges or Salomon Lords, what about them? what skis do you Dalbello owners have? thanks

I'm not sure whats up with the edges, but I've had these since they came out (i think it was 3 years ago) and not a single crack. bases on these can be a bit slow, topsheet chips a lot. But they apparently fixed the topsheet issue with the newer skis, everyone loves the domains on here. bombproof skis for sure.

K2 make bombproof ski, really good edge, base is slow but old wax great, the topsheet like its their job. I really enjoy my old k2 ski, but now im all about Salomon. Dont buy salomon lord, buy the 2012's before, k2 kung fujas are very good all mountain shrder. My vote go to the kung fujas, where do you ski ?

I ski in the Caucasus mountains , usually Gudauri ski resort and that's why I am looking for all mountain skis. The snow is quite different from where you ski( maybe USA or Canada). It is sometimes icy and not very fresh. I also cannot say that I have to ski in the powder, Just normally deep ungroomed snow with some rocks. there is also a park and some places for backcountry jumps. I am going to ski about 45-55% groomers or half groomed snow, about 30-40% deep snow and about 20% park. It's not exact information of course, but I think that Kung Fujas are the best for me as you've mentioned. Also Caucasus mountains are sometimes rocky and there isn't always good fresh snow. What do you think according to the information? the same? thanks

Thanks, I forgot to ask,-how do use your Dalbello Il moros? I mean I mentioned that I want good carving ability, good in Ungroomed snow, powder, and some park use too.

new jersey s in the US, on the east coast. I'm lucky to get any real fresh snow, usually mostly ice an man made snow. I'd just as easily use the boots for anything though, I mean they still attach you to the ski. the only difference between normal boots and park boots is usually shock absorption. so you'd be good to go with the il moro's or the kross's if they fit you.

Again. I would like to back this up since you seem to skip over it. Get them if they fit. If they don't fit it doesn't mean that you are going to get stuck with a crap boot because the crappiest boots are the ones that don't fit properly.

I fitted FT High fives and Dalbello krypton Pro and Cross I.D's too.I wanted try other models of Ft, but unfortunately they were not available. all of them fitted good and I didn't seem to have a very wide foot.

The better for me was Dalbello because it seemed to have the shape of my feet, bit I felt full tilts more comfortable. I mean that all of them were good but now I don't know what they will be in the action. I ask the same question again. what do you think will be the best for me, without expecting how they fit or things like that. I write again. I need good carving ability on groomers, good powder and off-piste ability and good in some park. thanks again. I just need your opinion and advice.

I didn't know that it would be that hard to choose ski boots.)

Go to a boot fitter. If you have a wide foot as you say, I guarantee that you won't fit in any of the boots you are looking at in this thread.

I thought that I had wide foot, but I was wrong. my feet are narrow enough to fit all of this boots well and comfortable. so my feet size is normal and which boots do you recommend? which boots do you own personally

So how did you figure out that your feet fit these boots comfortably? Google is nothing compared to actually trying on a pair of boots.

I can't understand what you mean, but I meant that I feel comfortable in the boot and I tried a pair on,- not google but boot.

My last pair of boots were Full tilt Konflicts, bought them cause I have a narrow foot and got a real good price through my work. I can't say I would recommend them to anyone. In my opinion they are a cheaply made boot, that is extremely hard to make any adjustments to if you need to have any punches or stretching done. Another problem I found was that with the design of the boot meant that if you crank down the top buckle it would collapse in on my ankle. Could just be a problem with my particular foot/ankle shape but I would say got with the dalbello's if they fit you, I know a few people who ride them and they all love them.

full tilt for sure! you just have to pick the model for you they have park models and all mountain models pick which one suites you!

The last two comments in this thread make me facepalm so hard.

^^You can pick out any model of any boot of any brand. Doesn't mean shit.

^The Ace of Spade is one of the widest boots on the market. Absolutely no relevance to this thread. And again, not everyone's foot fits in every boot.

since when is a 100 last one of the widest on the market?
but yeah go to a boot fitter and what not.

I meant to say wider. It is not in the same class as dalbello or fultilt. 2mm is more than it sounds.

BUMP!: What is dalbello's most park specific boot?? Wasn't sure because most of them have 99mm last and relatively close in flex.
