k so ive done my research, and ive decided on getting the il moro or the il moro T ski boot. i need your help deciding,
So i ride park a fair amount, but i also like to charge hard. im currently in some salomon spk's and hate them. they suck for all mountain. back to subject. i weigh 150 and im 5'6", i want something stiff that can rip double black diamonds. but can also butter in the park, id be willing to sacrifice a little in either area, for a better performance in the other. lets forget cost in this comparison because I'm tired of getting the wrong boot. my only worrys with the il moro T is that itl be to stiff for park. and my only worry for the il moro is it will be to soft to rip, whats your opion on the matter. i have no preferance for graphics either.
another question is does anyone know the exact flex of either boot? dalbello doesnt say. they only mention that the d-70 plastic (whats in the il moro T) is stiffer than the d-62 plastic (which is in the il moror). and the il moro comes with a medium and stiff tounge and, and the il moro T, comes with a medium and firm tounge. any difference between stiff and firm?
my last question, is the 09 il moro the same as the current il moro besides graphics?
thanks for reading, i apreciate meaningfull and non bs posts. bobby

I won't be able to answer the vast majority of your questions, but I did recently speak with a Dalbello rep and he mentioned that you can buy different flex tongues for all their boots. That way you could throw a soft flex in on a sunny park day and a stiffer one after it dumps. They claim that all their flex is created by that third piece tongue.

Good luck.

Wrong... I have the 2010 IlMoro and guess what? Medium and Stiff tongues i have... You can check the off.site to be sure if you aren't now.

I guess all the difference is the color.. like with all "signature" stuff...

im about your height and weight and i have last years il moro which i believe is the same as the non signature version this year. I ski big mountain comps and cliffs and the flex is pretty good. Id recommend that your just get the regular il moro it is cheaper and the difference is really not that worth it imo. If it turns out its a bit soft just buy a stiffer tongue but i think you should be fine with the tongue supplied

I have the regular Il Moro and it does come with two tongues.
I, too, ride park and all-mountain. I rock the medium tongue and it's stiff enough for me, so I'm guessing the stiff tongue would be stiff enough for you.
Great boot by the way.

Ive got the T's and I think that you wont have a problem with either because you can adjust just about everything on the boot, you could even make the soft tongue hard to flex with some kind of cuff adjustment, these are awesome boots worth every penny

The Ts use a slightly higher grade plastic, but that's about the only difference other than the color. I'm in this year's il Moros and love em so far, just still tweaking my footbeds a bit to drop my foot lower in the boot so that the cable locks in my ankle better without pressuring the top of my foot.
I've skied them on hardpack, ice, and (east coast) powder days so far, great performance once you get them dialed in right. I'm using the 4 degree forward lean wedge and stiffener piece with the medium tongue and they've worked well for me so far on double blacks, carving blues/blacks switch (heel hold is great), and in the park. If it fits your foot, it's an excellent choice.
