Dalbello Boss (w/ ID Liner)

Does anyone have any experience with the Dalbello Boss?

I've tried on a couple of pairs of Dalbellos and they are pretty comfortable, except I need a wider Last. have heard really good things about Dalbello in general.

Problem is there isn't anywhere in the UK, apart from one place a few hundred miles away that stocks the Boss; so I'm going to have to order them specially, and get the ID liner seperately too - is there anything I should specifically be looking for liner-wise?

Just wanted to know if anyone had these, or know much about them beyond the standard info available.

I'm not a huge park skier, though trying to do a bit more now despite my old age. I'm pretty heavy and a moderately aggressive skier.

I got SPKs a couple of years ago, mainly due to the rubber toe as I kept losing my big toenail in my Nordicas; but the bottom buvkle sits right on a weird part of my foot meaning I can't have that buckle very tight; so I'm pretty much riding with just the top buckle and strap, which is obviously not good.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Buying boots without trying them on first is a bad idea, though if you can return them in case they don't fit then why not. I'm assuming you don't have access to a boot fitter? If you do, that is definitely the way to go.

Yeah I can likely return them if they don't fit - but it's going to cost me at least for delivery and getting the liner moulded etc.

Not a huge amount of selection in my local shops, which is why having to order specifically.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with the boots - quality/weight etc etc.

In the UK try going to Lockwoods in Leamington Spa, they are good bootfitters and stock Dalbello, Head, Salomon, Lange Atomic, Fischer, Nordica and Technica boots. You'll get a boot which fits your foot and they can do any boot work you need.

Thanks, I'm maybe heading up from Bristol to Tamworth in a couple of weeks so will head over to Leamington if I can - looks like they have a lot of stock, not the Boss but if they are quality fitters I can at least get their opinion or find a substitute wider boot.

I hate the M4 Eastbound, it's like the road to hell.

Bartlett's don't have the Boss and I really do want to try it as after trying on a fair few boots, I do like the dalbello apart from the last.

I will probably end up in Bartletts at some point to have a look at a load more boots; problem with shops is, you gotta pay retail (or close to it)!
