Who has it? Is it a good bag? I'm thinking about getting it for school and skiing. Is it big enough for both... or is it too big for school? Let me know.

I got Heli-Pro II and its sick. I take it everywhere. School, the mountain, to Jason's moms. You won't find a better skiing backpack, great for big mountain riding.

 
yeah, i have the vertex.. it's the same thing as the heli-pro except it only has ski straps, no snowboard straps. it's sweet.

I have the heli pro because I snowboard sometimes too. I think its an awesome pack, but it doesnt matter what pack you get because when your hiking a mountain your not thinking about whats on your back.

 
For BC, I always wear my Heli-pro, and it's sick. It's got a bunch of straps to support it, and it fits really close to your body. It also has a place to put your shovel, and a great diagonal ski carrying system. I got mine for $45 though, don't pay $80 for one.

Great pack. Fits well, holds your skis, a shovel and a probe if you ride with one, and it won't break the bank. It's a little small though.

yeah it's such an awesome bag. after many trips up vail and berthoud pass with friends, i'm convinced dakine makes the best bags for carrying skis. the cross carry system is pretty much fool proof. the heli pro's definately a day trip bag. get a larger pack if you're going for longer.

The slim profile lets you sit on a chair lift without having to sit on the front of the chair. I have used mine for three years now for skiing and school. I got a insulated blader for it too. works well.

best pack i have seen for anywhere close to it's cost, but it has way to many straps to get in the way for school
