Hey

Can someone post a picture of them with their skis on hooked onto a Heli pack on their back so I can see what it looks like. I checked around but I couldn't find anything. Thanks for reading.

Cheers,

Ok cool thanks for the post, still looking for a picture tho. I have one on the way but I am just curious as to what it's like. Anyone find the way the skis strap to the bag weird? Or have you found anything difficult about it? Like... walking through doors?

Cheers,

it's easier to walk with than you think. Do be careful in doorways though, but most of the time it is ok (also, depends on long your skis are). You must put stuff in the pack though, otherwise it will get all bunched up around the skis.

Sometimes going down stairs, the bottom of yours skis with hit the steps, so you need to walk sideways.

I have one and its actually really easy to hook your skis up and walk, under a minute usually. As for going through doors, duck. When are you going to be hiking inside?

i have one it holds them fine, except i am a dumbass and put my unmounted skis on them first to see what it looked like and it didnt work

It looks like this, except on your back.

As you can tell, walking through doorways would be a total bitch unless you ride super short skis. Although I really don't know what you'd be doing skiing indoors.

Thanks again for the posts. I don't think I'll be indoor hiking much, but I just wanted to know. As for the unmounted ski test, good job. So does anyone have a picture?

Cheers,

Not really. Watch it with the ring in the bottom too, I have trouble with my Madens and have to put one tip through at a time (since its kinda small, or maybe its just the massive skis).

Oh, and fuck the Dakine Hydration system, go buy a platypus. Dakine has this "quick release" thing connecting the hose to the reservoir, and it ALWAYS detaches when I land, cutting off the sweet water (or other) when I need it most.

i've always like that system, used it for years now, it doesn't balence perfectlyl but it's easier to get in/out that conventional systems.

with wider twins you might have to put one ski through the loop at a time.

i was in a store today looking for a backpack, i tried the da kine helli pro, and was really comfortable even with skis.
